Weak overload compressor

Thanks for the answer.I don't know what a weak overload on the compressor means. Also, is there an easy way to clean the compressor coils? I can't get to them to clean them very good.

I have a mugnum air compressor and there is a red reset button on the top of the motor that keeps triping after you start the compressor. Just dont know where to get a new one or if I should try to rewire...

The motor is overheating, make sure you are using the proper size extension cord if you must use one. It's best if you do not use an extension cord. Be sure the prongs on the plug are shiny clean - use a wire brush or scouring pad to clean them. Another reason for overheating is a clogged air filter - keep it clean and your compressor will not need to work as hard. If it will not run at all (overload trips instantly) your capacitors probably need to be replaced. Check with "Drillspot" for good price and fast shipping.

What will cause my compressor to start bogging down and trip the electric motor after reaching 30 to 40 psi? it has fresh oil and air filter. The electric motor also checked out ok.

It sounds like the run capacitor needs to be replaced. If yours is weak or defective the motors run windings will over heat and trip the overload. You can find replacements at "Drillspot". Another issue is using an extension cord that cannot handle the load.

E-4 Abnormality of out door unit or overload in compressor. Check condenser coil, if dusty clean it. F.motor struck, replace it.
Running amps gradually increasing means weak capacitor. Replace capacitor.
Thanks.Hope helpful?

Even if power on ...machine is not starting on

Easy! Look for a failed capacitor, a burnt wire/broken terminal on the compressor, or a weak/bad overload. 5e9dda4.jpg

Frigidaire, chest freezer only 2 or 3 yrs old, was...

See if you have 120 volts at the compressor if you do do you hear any clicking sound at compressor if not replace compressor Start Relay/Overload if you hear clicking sound the compressor may be bad or Start Relay/Overload the only way to know is to replace the compressor Start Relay/Overload. If you do not have 120 volts at the compressor jump out the thermostat you should have 120 volts at the compressor now if not you may have a defrost timer Prob. if this is shelf defrost unit check timer turn knob to see if it starts.

your rtc overload on the compressor is getting weak and drops out and this shuts power off to unit and you need to replace it,its plugged into the side of the compressor located in the lower rear of the unit, simply unplug frige, access the compressor, remove retainer spring, unplug rtc overload and replace it

Our office refrigerator is clicking... and now its beeping on the inside as though the door has been left open.

The clicking sound is the compressor overload. When cycling on overload the compressor is under stress from several different reasons not all at the same time but for several different. Solving the problem may take simple repairs to start relay, start capacitor, overload, cleaning of the condenser coils, checking the condenser and evaporator fans. The beeping sound is possibly coming from the temperature board inside. When the clicking begins with a compressor overload is the time that it needs to be looked at to prevent further damage. Sometimes the compressor is worn out and nothing you really can do when worn out. If you would like my assistance I will be here or the links below to help or answer your questions. Please provide your model number and I will be glad to help out, Thanks, Sea Breeze

Compressor stops running unplug for awhile then plug back in compressor starts for a day or two

There could be many reasons for running hot, and the "Thermal Overload" is protecting the compressor.
Make sure nothing else is on the circuit used by the freezer.
Lastly, you may have a weak overload.
