First of all do you still get sound? if you do then most of the set is working and you need to find out if the fault lies in the EHT (25Kv) or in the frame circuit and you do need to know what to touch and what not to touch If you have sound and you feel safe ,remove the back and you will see a thick red cable going to the CRT that's the part you do NOT touch and where that lead come from you will find a black transformer with 2 adjustable controls ONLY adjust the bottom one and see what you get if you get a thin white line then the fault is in the frame circuit and you need some knowledge to get any further?

If theres nothing at all (sound and vedeo) then the power supply section may check, fuse, power I.C. or transistor

Change input device to some other like a DVD player and see.
