Question about HP Pavilion dv1000 Notebook
Well, it depends I had that same problem but, it got it fixed for free since a friend fixed it. If you can't do that then look up a repair shop near you, then compare prices and I'm sure you'll get it fixed for a good. price

Check for the used LCD screens on ebay. There's one there today for $50 plus shipping. Replacement requires a tear down of the top part of the unit. If you are adventuresome, but have never done this, it might take you around 2 hours, or so.
