Hitachi Excavator- Swing motor gearbox leak ... 10000 hrs that I am thinking the seal on the swing motor reduction gearbox went out. ... but a friend that works on construction equipment said to check the swivel manifold.

All of the service manuals that came with my excavators (Hitachi, John Deere, Samsung) have wiring diagrams. I would be checking with your nearest Caterpillar dealer or service centre. They are usually really helpful with both parts and information.
Check pressure from pump. check oil level in reservoir check for air in system. check for broken ram piston seals or scored bore in cyl allowing oil to bypass the ram
