Question about Olevia LT32HVE 32 in. LCD Television
The power boards does need to be verified first! A couple ways, is the red led blinking? If yes, something with the power supply! Look for some bad caps (capacitors) on the board. They will look bulged on the top an may be a little leaky (brownish stain). If your power supply has been replaced, and the screen is black.
Then you will need a back light inverter board, this unit has either white/pink or white/blue wire plugs and located under a metal cover with some very small screws. If doing your self, careful high voltage (unplug power cord).
The casing will need to be remove. Then the next layer removed to get to the inverter. You can purchase at shopjimmy.com, select your brand and model. Good luck, hope this is helpful!!!

I have a LT27HV and with the same problem as you I went as far as buying a new power supply board. 62$ from Olevia. After installing it, the TV powered up again, but after an hour or so of being on, the power died and I'm back where I started. Do not bother buying a new power supply, my guess is that there is a major short somewhere. Consider yourself the proud owner of 1000$ paper weight.
