My acer aspire 5515 laptop system error window show when I try to boot. Hiw do I fix it?

so what i guess its giving mbr not found and its not booting , the solution is you need to have the windows operating system disk and then when your acer laptop starts to boot click on f8 then click on repair windows then after that you will see 3 option click on the third it will say repair cmd then type as what is given below

Click on the "Repair Your Computer" option to gain access to the System Recovery window. Now choose "Command Prompt" to run the Bootsect.exe utility. Bootsect is located inside the boot folder so change your directory to boot. Now run "bootsect /nt60 C:\" (without quotes) if you had Windows 7 initially installed in the C partition. Alternatively, you can run "bootsect /nt60 SYS" or "bootsect /nt60 ALL" (without quotes) to repair the system partition or all partitions. Eject the DVD and restart your computer. Your computer should now boot Windows 7 again.

Hp pavilion slimline s3600t desktop pc - Wont boot up, flashes to blue screen after hp blue screen and restarts. no option for safe mode either

A Blue Screen is more time than not indicative of a driver issue or some hardware issue. First of all when it boots to the screen that shows Safe Mode and the other options, scroll down and see if there is an option to Stop or Disable Automatic Restart on Boot. This will stop the screen from restarting itself when the blue screen appears and give you a chance to read and see what the error is. Afterwards it is ok to run Startup Repair. Startup Repair does not delete any of your personal files. Let startup repair run and then see if it boots. Once again, startup repair does not delete any of your music, documents, pictures, videos or programs. System Restore does not delete any of you documents, music, pictures, videos or programs. System Recovery WILL DELETE all of your music, pictures, videos, documents & any programs you've added since you brought the computer home from the store. System Recovery sets your computer back to the very first time you turned it on after you purchased it. I would run the startup repair, if that does not fix your problem, see if you can run a System Restore. A lot of time the Restore Points are damaged or missing when this happens, but give it a try and restore to a point before you started having the blue screen issue. If all fails you're going to need a system disc so that you can get into the Recovery Console so that you can enter a dos command in the little black box that opens up with white letters. You want to type: chkdsk /r
Let it run. It will run well over an hour and you will notice the percentage of completion going from high to low, but that's ok. Let it run to completion then try rebooting. If this doesn't work, you're going to need to take it to a repair shop or reload the operating system yourself.

Durning the restore process the laptop powered off and when restarted would not boot up boot manager was missing. I have reinstalled Vista, but cannot access the the hidden partition on the disk is there...

Hi,
You may not be able to access the recovery partition because you have reinstalled the OS.
Make sure that AC power is plugged in to prevent shutdown.

To restore your computer back to factory settings, follow the steps below:
  1. Turn on the computer and keep tapping F8 until the advanced options menu is displayed
  2. Use the up/down arrow keys on the keyboard to highlight Repair Your Computer and press enter to select it
  3. Select the language you wish to install (normally English is the only option)
  4. Once you have chosen your language you will be presented with the available recovery options
    • Microsoft Repair Environment - after choosing the UK keyboard layout you will be asked to choose the Operating System you wish to repair. If Windows Vista is not listed then you cannot repair the OS without doing the full recovery. After choosing Vista the Microsoft Vista startup repair tool will run and attempt to repair any startup problems you are experiencing
    • Reinstall Windows - gives you the options available to reinstall Vista
    • Advanced Options - this launches the diagnostic centre allowing you to run chkdsk, launch notepad or bring up a command prompt
    • Exit & restart computer - Exits withut running the recovery process
  5. To continue with the recovery program you need to choose Reinstall Windows
  6. On the next screen you have the ability to launch Vista System Restore and roll back to a date when Vista was last working ok or to run the Full Destructive Recovery. To continue with the recovery program you need to choose Start Full Destructive Recovery
  7. After choosing the Full Destructive Recovery option you are presented with the warning screen that all data will be lost. It is important to make sure all data has been backed up to disk if possible and to realise this process deletes all data and reverts the machine back to it's default state. To continue with the recovery program you need to tick the box indicating you are aware of data loss
  8. The recovery process will then run through, the computer will restart a couple of times during this. You will also need to go through the Vista "Out of Box Experience", to configure Vista. This is fairly straightforward so just follow the onscreen instructions

Good luck.

Acer Aspire 5515 stopped responding and will only boot as far as the Microsoft loading screen

Try tapping the "f8"key when booting - it should allow you to choose "safe mode".

If it starts up - scan the PC for errors (including bad sectors on HDD)

If it still does not boot - I'd try booting from the windows install disc and use the installers repair console.

If that wouldn't help - I'd get a bootable CD of Ubuntu or some other OS and try and repair the windows installation from there.

Xp wont turned on it will not boot to the desk top it frezers

This should fix your problem. Even w/o your installation disk. I have used this program to fix Pc's I have picked up off the side of the road. I would hit the power button, it would show the BIOS then it would stop and shutdown. This fixed 99% of them I have picked up.

Go here

using a torrent program ie (utorrent, shareaza, etc) download SPINRITE.exe.

Burn this on a disk, the program is written with freedos included, but this will not work with 100% of laptops.

if the program stops and shows you a red screen with an error, use a program such as PowerISO to burn the disk and make it a bootable image by adding a .bif
after burning the program to disk-
  • insert disk and reboot
  • press any key to boot from cd if asked
  • when you see Prompt, change to your default cd drive.
  • type SPINRITE to start program
  • use recovery option 5
this may take a few hours or a few days depending on the condition of the HDD.
I have used this program to fix computers I've picked up on the side of the road. I would power it on, start to load then go into a loop. after running this program overnight I was able to reboot (after removing disk) and the pc started right up.

Make sure you run a program like Ccleaner (you can get at www.fileippo.com) to clean your registry2.gif and junk files after completion. ^_^
