Lost remote for Apex tv. Now my tv is available to use through my cable remote. But the tv screen is stuck at the (I would guess original set up mode) I am stuck choosing between "Is this a home tv or is this a retail for store use?" I can't get past this screen with my remote. Ugh!! Help!
Buttons on TV should let you manually pass through settings
Testimonial: "No it's stuck in the "choose home or retail" mode. Tv keys nor remote to my cable box which is set to control the tv will work. Never have I had a tv where set up makes you choose between the two. Getting really irritated."
What iw exact model of the tv?
LE3245M. This is driving me nuts. I do have a TV in living area. But, I am very sick so I will be spending a lot of time in my bed. I was given this tv by my daughter and she had n problems with it until they lost the remote during moving. I've tried to find an Apex original remote through Amazon to no avail. I've never had a tv stuck in retail or home selection. I would think after setting the TV up thru my cable box that would have worked with the cable remote. Nothing works trying to use the TV buttons at all. With cable remote I can only choose home or retail mode. That's where it stops. It will not accept Enter or select. Just stays on the same screen. I really appreciate your help with this..thank you.
Unfortunately I don't have manual for that TV and I don't know how many buttons are on it. I would assume as usually: power, menu, vol up, vol down, channel up, channel down. I would try to press menu, after that use Vol up and see if color of choices changing color. If not wait and try again menu and channel up. Once you find combination when you be able to highlight either retail or home, use one of unused buttons or menu button to select it.
BTW there are some apex TV remotes for sale on amazon
Yes I have tried those. It has menu and also input but not a thing happens. I have e-mailed the company tonight as I cannot find a remote on Amazon, Sears or any replacement places. I hope that writing the company gets me somewhere! Thank you for your help also. I can usually work through anything myself one way or another so this is particularly getting on my nerves. lol
I am unable to get to any other screen through menu...or any other means. Just the same pick home or retail mode. Ugh!
One more thing o would try. Press and hold menu and press power or turn off TV press and hold menu while powering on tv

SOURCE: TV (Model DS27510) is stuck on Video2 setting, unable to change!!
Ours is doing the same thing except on Video 1. I called Sanyo customer service and they said I need the original remote. They were willing to sell me one for $20. Here is what I did instead. I used a cable box and hooked the cable in to it. Then I took the type of cables that will hook into my video 1 slot and plugged them in there and plugged them into the back of the cable box in the "cable out" positions. It worked ! If you do not have a cable box you might try a DVD/VCR combo or a VCR. Good Luck

Question
What should I do if my TV is stuck in Retail mode?
Answer
Your TV may have been set to Retail Store mode, which is mainly used on the shop floor.
For home use, we recommend that you set the TV to HOME mode, which will allow you to change the settings.
To change to HOME mode follow the steps below.

Try pressing the "Input" button the front of the set. That should allow you to change between the different inputs. The return button usually returns you to the previous channel you were watching - don't think it works for the input though. Also, depending on the model of the set you have, try downloading the PDF user or owners manual - it will tell you how to use the remote.
In order to enter Service
Mode, TV guide must be turned off
