Have no sound when paired to my phone but when I pair it to my sons phone it works fine. what am i doing wrong

You didn't list your phone model so I can only give you basic directions. You'll need to check the bluetooth settings under the bluetooth menu, usually found in phone settings. The mode you're looking for is handsfree device or something similar (not headset).

Bluetooth "device out of range or powered off"

I had lots of trouble too. I thought it was my phone. Well here's what you do. First off remove the device completely from your phone. Turn off the phone and take the battery off so it can re-boot. When the phone is powered back up put your bluetooth in pairing mode and get it back on your phone. It should connect without any problems. Now....here is the trick. When you want to disconnect the device(bluetooth) from your phone don't turn it off on your phone. Shut the actual power off on your bluetooth. The phone will recognize this and disconnect the device. The only thing left on your phone will be the bluetooth icon. Being the icon still on your phone it is still in discovery mode and can overtime use up your battery life searching for a device. This is when you can go to your phone and turn off the bluetooth. On your NV 2 go to your bluetooth menu and just use your left softkeyto turn it off. Now there is no connection whatsoever. And to turn it back on do the opposite. Go to your bluetooth menu and turn on your bluetooth. You will see the bluetooth icon. Now you power up the bluetooth and it will connect as soon as it get the signal. This took me 2 weeks of trial and error and other stuff but I am happy now and I hope this solves any bluetooth problems...

I need to know how to connect my jabra bt4051 headset to my phone. lost the instructions

I recently lost the instructions to one of my bluetooth also. What I did was this.. I went to the bluetooth link settings and turned the POWER on under SETUP. I then turned on my bluetooth and pressed the button (holding it down) until it was a solid light. I then went back to the bluetooth settings and clicked on FIND ME. If the bluetooth is in the correct mode your phone will discover it and will add it to your cell phone, it will also change the solid light to flashing. Flashing says it is on/activated. I hope this has been helpful.

Time and date

I'm almost positive there's nothing wrong with your phone "ssandra". You set the day/time/year etc. on the base (answering machine) separately from the handset . . . you press a series of buttons. I've done it several times, but now after a move I can't remember how you do it, and I can't find the instructions I had. That's actually why I was on this forum (looking for the instructions). Since you posted your question last year, this probably can't help you now. But I thought I'd answer anyway . . .
