Jul 29, 2009- hello Mr. expert. i have a hplaserjet color printer cm1015 the drivers are installed correctly and pc recognize the printer but when i try to print it gives an error msg: the page failed to print. would you like to view the printer troubleshooting? i appreciate if u could help on these issue. thank u. gerald alukeny

    is it connected by usb or ethernet. have you tried uninstalling the drivers. is it on a network?

Hmm... couple of things you can here; I don't know if this is a new printer or one you've had for some time.

If the printer is one you've had previously try doing a system restore. This usually fixes about 95% of computer problems concerning peripherals. click start... mouse over all programs... mouse over accessories... mouse over system tools... click on system restore... select a date when you know the printer was functioning correctly. If you can't find system restore that way just click on help and support... go to the search bar and type system restore.

If the printer is new: completely uninstall the printer and disconnect it. After you uninstall it using the add/remove programs. click on start... click run... type c://program files. You will see a message that says these files are hidden. Just click the the link that says show the contents of this folder. once you have done that all the folders containing software that you installed will appear. look through there and see if you can find the folder for your printer should say hp laser jet or something to that effect. highlight that folder only and hit the delete button. then look to the left of that screen and you will see a link that allows you to hide those contents again. click that if you wish, there is no harm in leaving the folder contents viewable. restart your computer and re-install the software... Make sure you follow the installation instructions to the T.

Getting 79 ERROR on CM1015 printer. Printer shows error then powers off and repeats.

Error 79 indicates a internal memory error, specifically, it can indicate the internal memory is full. You can try printing the printer's test page, it shouldn't fill the memory and it should print. Here's a link to the official HP error 79 trouble shooting instructions for the CM1015.

I have an HP Laserjet CM1015 Priner/scanner and an HP pavillion running Windows Vista. When I try to scan anything it says an error occured communicating with scanning device and check it is connected...

I had this too on my Vista. I re-installed the original software that came with the printer and the scanner then worked OK. My problem was always triggered when HP automatically downloaded 'updated' software, so I would disable the update feature as it only causes problems!!

HP laserjet CM1015 MFP won't print red. Tried new cartridge and re installing joy! HELP !!

This has absolutely nothing to do with setting. Anyone who tells you that has never actually experienced the problem. This video link will show you how to clean the printer if you think it's worth it.

How do you install drivers for the cm1015 on Wondows 7?

Donwload the complete solution for Vista from HP web site. Expand the file to a known directory. In that directory right click on the CM1017eGSG file, make it compatible with windows vista, right click it again and run it as administrator.


The program should be installing the drivers now!!

It worked for me

PC won't recognize HP C4180

I have heard that there is such a thing as having bad drivers, and that they must be deleted and new ones installed, I am not familiar with the procedure but I know that I have read this recently. This may guide you in the right direction, oh yes I remember now I recently read a solution by an expert here called: bandana_gyrl, she can probably explain this to you.

I think someone selected the wrong model when installing the drivers. I would uninstall the printer from the XP machines, and reinstall the correct driver. You can google to find the driver.
