Question about Acer TravelMate 518TX Notebook
I recently brought an Acer travelmate 518tx off of ebay, when i received it, i charged it up but when it came to turning it on i hold the on button and all i can hear is a ticking noise from to bottom of the laptop.
why is this doing it? and what can i do to fix it?
The ticking noise is most likely the hard disk and the ticking noise indicates that the hard disk is faulty.
A normal functioning hard disk makes a spinning sound.
I suggest you get your money back or get a new hard disk and install Windows to get the laptop operating again.
