Hoover cyclean brush stopped revolving

The belt may be broken or worn If your cleaner is not picking up fluff and hair from the carpet or has become heavy to push it is possible that the belt has snapped. This belt makes the sweeping brushes spin round underneath the cleaner and brush dirt into the path of the air suction. The brushes also give that 'groomed' look to your carpet by gently brushing the carpet fibre. If you pick up something sharp or debris gets jammed in the brushes then the belt may snap. Also over time your belt will stretch, so it's a good idea to change your belt once per year to ensure the cleaner picks up dirt effectively.

Check and make sure you have cleaned all of the filters. Sometimes they hide filters where you do not expect them to be and they will be clogged with lint and dirt. Some Hoovers have as many as three different filters.

My Hoover upright will not pick up dirt when vacuumed over the carpet. It makes the path over the dirt like it should do without picking up.

You need to check the brush at the bottom of the machine, it is belt driven and the belt tends to break, you could replace the belt yourself, if that is the problem.

I have a hoover windtunnel that has worked great till yesterday now it doesn't have any suction an all 3 filters all new. Please advise

Check the ducting that leads from the pick-up brush to the container. Fluff and larger bits are inclined to get jammed in elbows and bends in the pipes.

Is stopped up .won't pick up.

You did not say, but I assume that the vacuum is still running?
Check under the machine and into the bend where it sucks up the dirt, see ig there is not something like a bit of fluff or a piece of cloth stuck in there blocking the pipe. If there is nothing in there check further up the system into the dirt container. Also check that the air outlet is not blocked.

Hoover Tempo Widepath Blows Dirt Out Back on Hard Surfaces

lots of times switching to hard surface floors you need to slow down because the air flow that does the actual picking up of the dirt can't work as fast as the spinning brush so the brush is throwing the dirt out the back before the suction can pick it up. Try slowing down

Hoover Empower Widepath Vacuum Doesn't ****

This model requires the lower end of the hose to be installed into the base unit to pick up the dirt. If it is properly installed, I would check the belt and also look for a blockage. The normal life span of a belt is about 9-12 months. your belt # 40201190 2 pk

DC07 cylone not cycloning

Hi Michele.

The yellow tube with the fins on does not spin. So that is fine.
If you have pets or lots of fluff vacuumed up it may not roll around in the waste bin when using this is normal & nothing to worry about.
Just empty bin & start cleaning you will see the grit particles spinning but as you collect fluff or hair that may roll around at first but as more is sucked up it will stay still.
