If it was turned on when it went into the water, it may have shorted out some circuits. Not too sure if that can be fixed though, you may have to invest in a new one, maybe Santa Claus will bring you one for Christmas!!

I accidently dropped my mp3 player in the bath, it is now dead, doing nothing, can it be revived? Many thanks.

Hi santhosam123

Chances are its toast, but it is worth a try...sometimes it works
***************************************

If you ever find that you have to deal with a wet device, don\'t just abandon it.
Instead, try the following method to repair the water damage:

DO NOT TURN IT ON!
Take it apart as much as you can. Take out the battery, the memory card and whatever else can be easily disassembled. (Just make sure you can put it back together.)
Store the parts in an air-tight container covered with either dry rice, silica gel packets or kitty litter. These will absorb the moisture from your electronics device, leaving it water-free.
If no rice, gel packets or kitty litter are available, try using a vacuum to suck the water out.
DO NOT blow-dry the parts, it will only force the water farther in and cause more damage.
Please take time to rate me.

I have dropped my Gogear Vibe in my drink about 2 years ago.It wouldn't work and it still dosen't turn on.So what do I do?

Moisture causes many problems with electronic devices. You can try putting your mp3 player in a bowl of dry rice, as the rice will absorb any moisture after a few days.
However, if your mp3 player has not been functional for 2 years, it is likely that your mp3 player is irreparably damaged and must be replaced.

Dropped phone in water now phone will not turn on

Take the phone apart and slowly dry. I droped my phone in the lake and dryed on the dash of my vehicle for a day or two. then turned on the phone. Never try to power up a wet phone, let it dry COMPLETLY first. Good luck.

I dropped my archos 605 in water the screen went a blue colour before dying on me.is it a goner.

probably...especially if the battery is still powering the device when you dropped it. remove the battery right away and have the water drained. You can try to dry it in an airconditioned room for several days but not under the sun or inside the refrigerator :-)
Try to power it after several days or weeks..goodluck!

i dropped mine into water too, and at first I think it's hopeless to cure but i still tried because i just bought it several months ago. i tried to dry it with the hair-dryer for about 15-20 mins. it didn't work well right after but 2 days later, it seemed to be normal again. life still has miracles^^

Droped in water now it dosen't work

Try leaving it in a DRY bowl of rice over night. I'ved used that solution on a phone as well as an ipod. Both still worked after the water damage. Make sure the Sansa is completely covered in the rice though. It needs to be under for about 8 hours total. This will help remove any remaining moisture in the unit. After it is dry, if it still does not work; you have a hardware issue and will either need to get it serviced or replaced. I do hope this article is helpful to you though.

Mp3 was dropped in water and doesn't work anymore

Well the only real thing you can do is to dry it out until no water is left in it and it might work..Usually when these things see water and there on it fries them..but sometimes when they are exposed to water and they are turned of and wait for water to dry they will work again,,Thats not a good sign when you said you heard it sizzle..Thats it shorting out the main board..You might be replacing if when the water dries it doesnt come on thats what happen.Sorry Have A Great Day

Water in my sansa e250

Any device that gets wet may be ruined easily. It is very important that water doesn't touch the battery. unscrew the back and open it up, remove the battery and wipe it down. Prop it up in front of a hair dryer that is on cool setting (DO NOT USE HOT SETTING) for an hour or so and then put it together and try again. I've done this with mp3 players and cell phones after dropping them in puddles, showers, my washing machine, and even a tub of teriyaki sauce once and as long as the battery is completely dry and the back is completely dry when you put it back together you will be alright. You can also put the device in the freezer for a while and that should condense the water and help dry it out a bit.
