Worked in paint repair shop for 18+ years. Every time we had that issue it was the wrong air cap. The particular model we always had trouble with was a Devilbiss JGA going from a pressurized system to a 1 quart cup. But the Devilbiss and Binks are quite similar.
The air cap from the pressurized system would actually cause a reverse pressure in the cup.
Both air caps were for this gun. Also the Devilbiss
rep said they should be interchangeable.
They weren't. Try a different air cap.
I'm kind of curious so please let me know if this works for your Binks.
Good luck!

I bought a binks bbr with a tip of 97p . don't know what the 97p stands for. wanted to know if you guys knew this answer. I'am thinking it could be the needle size? your answer will be greatly...

The 97P stands for the Air Cap. For the BINKS BBR (or Mach1A) are more than ten different air caps available which differ in air flow capacity and pattern width. The 97P has an air volume of 21 SCFM (@10 PSI) and a pattern width of 16" (if sprayed from 10" distance).

I have photo copy of binks bbr spray gun with feed cup but i can't find it on your site. I don't know model no. please give me suggesion

The "BBR" gun was the predecessor of the MACH1 gun. And there are basically two versions of it. The older BBR version states on the gun "BBR" only and the newer version "BBR" and "HVLP". Most spares are the same. As I know they just called it "BBR" and there is no Model Number. I have both spare part lists (hard copy at the moment only). What are you exactly looking for?

HI. My Comet FWS 4030 works just great and i am very pleased. what i DON'T know is how to draw up soap to mix with the water. there is a big red knob, and another brass adjustment but i have no manual...

The red knob is to regulate the pressure. The soap siphon should be hooked up to the pump at the high pressure outlet and the pressure hose hooks up to it. You do just have to drop the tube into your soap solution but I recommend you dilute the soap down as the siphon usually sucks the solution up fairly fast. The trick to making it work is to use the low pressure, soap tip on your wand. They are black and help fan the water/soap out but give no resistance to the water coming out. If you are using a high pressure tip, usually red, yellow, white or green, there will be too much back pressure in the hose and siphon attachment for it to **** up any solution.

I can't get the machine to siphon the cleaning solution.

This is usually caused by either a plugged siphon line or if you are using the high pressure tips (red, yellow, white or green) on the wand. Check that the siphon line doesn't have any debris or bugs in it. The only way the siphon hose will work is if you use the low pressure, black soap tip on the end of the wand. The other tips cause too much back pressure for the cleaning solutions to be picked up by the hose.

No suction

This model comes in either suction feed or pressure feed. For example a 6211-4307-9 is a suction model. There are different air caps and needles depending on feed style. I assume your'e using either a 82-545 or a 82-555 suction cup attached to the gun. Make sure the tubing is tight, and that the vent hole in top of the cup isn't clogged. See Binks.com for detailed tip combinations.

Siphon tube on cup gun blows into the cup

Other than a missing or deformed gasket ring around the nozzle assembly, there might be a gun casting leak from the air passages to the fluid passages. Hope this helps!
