Question about Dell Latitude D600 Notebook
Posted by Spoem on Apr 29, 2009Have you tried holding the Fn key down and then pressing the F8 key? That is a toogle between display modes. It may be that the keys were pressed by mistake and some pint and the display is being directed to an external device. This is a three way toogle, 1 to the internal display, one to an external display and the 3rd to both. Press and hold the Fn key and press and release the F8 key. Wait a few seconds for the system to respond. Repeat the process three times to see if you get an image on the screen.
You can also try connecting an external monitor to see if an image is display on it. If an external monitor works but the internal does not, you will probably need to replace the interal display.
**** What if i tried connecting an external monitor and no image was displayed on it. then what would the problem be?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
