So you have lost the video signal from the main board. It could be a main board issue or it could be the T-Con. Try all the inputs and see what happens. If you get a picture on any of the inputs then it is not the Tcon. If you get nothing then it is.
I received the t-con today replaced it, and ended up with the same results no picture just snow with vertical lines. Should I replace the main board since everything functions accept for the live picture? LG 459zUF6430-UB David Mata recommended by shop jimmy
Check for an input board and if there is none, it is the main board
There isn't an input on a 49uf6430 LG..all signal processing is done through the main, that should be your bad board
I had a WiFi issue on my LG 49uf6430, tech support had me do all kinds of things and when I factory reset it. I was hammered. Now I got HDMI 1 only. No Wi-Fi. Can't get into the advanced settings at all. Any suggestions?

SOURCE: vertical flickering color lines instead of pictures
Soory man there is no deflection yoke or vertical output IC in a plasma TV set.LOL This person has a problem with whats called the substain power supply or bad caoacitors in the main supply. there is also a possibility that the set has a bad tuner. Only performing test on the set will determine the problem.

Help! My Plasma by Magnavox is putting black verticle lines on the right side of the screen - comes and goes - and I replaced the entire Direct TV-HD unit - wires, everything - and had TV company repair - and it still came back. The TV repair refuses to take TV back because it does not show up when they come. Although I videotaped it and showed them which has the date and time - they still refused to take it - and tried to get me to sign a paper saying it was working while they were there - which of course I refused to sign - so they left and nastily said they will not be back-find someone else. I still have the lines - and do not know what to do! Can anyone help?

What you are experiancing is loss of High voltage. The line is called a retrace line. It is usally caused by failure of the flyback circuit or aging of the TV tube. This is the single most common failure with CRT based display systems. The high voltage can be tweaked up, to accomidate for the age of the tube. Its a short term solution. Because of the high voltage nature of this circuit, suggest a professional repair.
I will need the model number of your set to assist you with the most probable cause of the problem.
