Question about Dell Inspiron 1300 Notebook
I need to know how
Assuming you know the path to the virus:
1. Start your computer in safe mode,
usually "Administrator" account in safe mode has no password, or "administrator", "admin" or "user" as the password.(Without quotes)
2. Wait for it to load.
3. press ctrl+alt+del and click new task -> type "regedit" (Without quotes)
once the registry editor opens, press ctrl+f and type the virus' name.. for example "reader_s.exe" and search.
Make sure that what you delete is related to the virus, because changing ANYTHING in the registry can be harmful.
4. If windows explorer isn't open, press ctrl+alt+del and click new task -> type "explorer.exe" (Without quotes)
Then, go to the file's location and delete it.
