If emergency turn power off, put white wire in with the red wire and turn power back on. This will bring the heat on BUT NOTHING WILL TURN IT OFF other than the breaker. This will get u temporary heat until tstat replaced.

SOURCE: How do I remove a Honeywell DT92E Thermostat from

turn off power to thermostat. should be a small flat head screw located on the bottom of the unit. release screw and lift face from the bottom, out and up. you will then need to identify wiring before removal of back plate unless the wiring is redundant.

SOURCE: I have the same problem

It's either because the thermo sensor is faulty or the location is wrong. Try setting the temp one degree above room temp and see if that works, if it does it's a location issue. The thermo should be close to the centre of the house, not near an outlet or the RA vent & not in a breezeway or other heatsink, at approx 1.5m above floor level.

SOURCE: installing a honeywell CM900 wireless programmable thermostat

the analog unit uses just two wires for heat. red - white. there is a heat anticipator setting that must match the burner current. check your programmable specs and follow instructions.

I have installed a Honeywell DT92E which keeps turning off the boiler before room temperature is reached

Hello David, I don't know if you installed this thermostsat or had someone else to install it. If you don't have the manual for your DT92E thermostat, I found a PDF file online that coveres both DT92A and DT92A. If you scoll down the PDF file after opening it, towards the bottom, you will see how to adjust the boiler timing. Maybe the timing is still in default mode and needs to be adjusted for a longer burn time? Hope this helps out.

DT92E room stat appears to be very inacurate with its room tempreture, our normal room temp is about 22c we have to set the stat at 25c to get heat and the stat cuts out after a temp rise of 1c

All thermostat is calibrated @ difference of 2 degree.to cut in and cut off.
In heat mode, if you keep 25 and your room temp 23. it will start at the end of 24 or beginning of 25 degree.Cut off also @27 degree beginning. Please check Tips & how to do's in Fixya

The instructions say the Honeywell DT92E needs only a two wire connection, but the wiring diagram shows three, which is correct Please

This Honeywell control thermostat is made for wireless control, by means of a relay control transmitter with a range of 30 meters. It only needs a 2 wire connection on this stat if indeed it is the DT92E stat. Even though the diagram shows three, you will need only 2 for operation. This is a fact. I have done some reading on this model and many of its relatives, so with built in relays, and transmitters, this is an amazing set-up. Good luck with it as you should enjoy its operation and user friendly features.

Central honeywell air conditioner

Sounds like it may have lost power. Check the breaker and the fuse at the furnace. If they are all in the on position and working then it sounds like you may need a technician. If the display is blank on the thermostat you may also want to replace the batteries.
