I need to conenct yamaha rx v420 to Samsung tv

Unless your Samsung has optical digital entries, I'm afraid you can't use them together in high quality.
Today, everything is connected through HDMI. Your Yamaha receiver has only analog connections. As well in as out. Although on the left side, when you look from behind, there are some digital connections.
I found the manual still online, so if you don't have one, click the link below.

How to install klipsch sub woofer to yamaha reciever rx-v559. everything working properly but sub wont be adjusted with volume. i got my stuff moved out here but had a mate help me set up. didnt pull it...

Does the sub work at all? How is it hooked up? The sub needs to be fed by an RCA cable from the Subwoofer Output jack for the receiver to control its output.

I can't get my cable remote to work with my RX-V2200. Are the new universal remotes going to have the same problem?

You need a remote control that can send "Discrete" commands. One for "on" one for "off". "PC programmable" or "learning" remotes will do the trick. "Universal Remote Control" or "Harmony/Logitech" are a couple that have many to choose from. Prices range from 80 to 1,000.00 depends on what you want it to do. If you need some more help, post a comment and I will be glad to help you further.

Yamaha RV-V2200 without power loses settings under 24 hours

It could be a battery, a bit like the type you get in watches. But I reckon it's a memory retention capacitor that has failed. These are small looking things that look like electrolytic capacitors that have been squashed from above. They appear to have a working voltage of around 5.5 volts too. I am enclosing a picture of one, though it could vary in style. You might find it near the main display of the unit.

Yamaha rx-v2200 sound problem

Hi Zanthena - my Yamaha rx v 2200 is doing exactly the same thing - did you manage to track the problem down? I have had my unit in for repair and the fault occurred again 6 hours after I re-installed it.

Any help would really be appreciated!

Jason.
