First, you need to call earthlink and ask port numbers used for incoming and outgoing mail traffic.

Next, you need to call Belkin for assistance on how to open these ports on the router. The router's firewall prohibits access to some of the application ports.

There can be several reasons. One- your outer could have reset to Factory default, and therefore do not sync your DSL connection to the ISP. See if your DSL Username and password are still configured.
Also- the router settings for the DSL sync can be wrong. Check settings like the VPI /VCI, as these are sometimes specific to certain regions.
Best is to look at the settings in the ISP router, write them down, and then configure the Belkin to the same settings.
Good luck

I'm not receiving e-mails, which have been sent to my address.

Check your Spam-folder or if the mail gets forwarded to another account. Maybe it's also sorted into another mailbox.
Check also that your collegues have the correct emailaddress

MTA specific reasons: Another possibility is that the mail gets rejected from the mailserver (e.g. due of possible spam), but the user who send the mail usually get notified about it (but sadly not from every mailserver).
If you have your own MTA: If the mailserver don't receive mails, it could be blocked by your network/router. You can check this by telneting to port 25 on the specific machine. Also check if your mailserver is really running (e.g. with "telnet localhost 25"). Sometimes networks are cutted of from sending mails like Dial-in-enduser networks (DUL), setted up to prevent spam.
That are the only reasons why you can't receive mail send to you. The first three possibilities you can check and fix after you identified it.

Can't use either Microsoft Live Mail or Lookout Express v6 with Belkin Router. Can't send or receive email Can you tell me what the email setup is for either one? Both email programs probably use the same...

Ask COMCAST for the names of their POP-server and of their MAIL-server, and configure Outlook Express to use those names.

Microsoft Live Mail is "web-based" -- all you need to do is to web-surf to their web-site, login, and click "send/receive" or click "compose" and later "send".

Earthlink mailbox will not "see" internet with belkin F5D7234-4 v3 router, it gives "Mailbox can't connect because you are offline. Please connect to the internet and try again." I can surf all day and...

I had this happen a while back as well.
When you installed the router, your DHCP settings in your router most likely gave your PC the router's IP address as the DNS server.
Earthlink Mailbox refuses to use any DNS servers except for Earthlink's DNS. I think this must be hard-coded (on accident or by design, I am not sure).
I know this because I had the same problem. I allowed their helpdesk to remote into my PC, and all they did was statically configured my NIC to use Earthlink's DNS servers; the Earthlink Mailbox worked fine after that.

Using DIR-300 Dlink Router dose not download mails in 2nd desktop

If you download mail from 1 mailbox, this mailbox can be emptied only once. So if you get the mail with desktop 1, desktop 2 cannot receive mail anymore.

You have to setup 2 different mailboxes, one for the first desktop / user and one for the other.

Connection Problems

If you are able to send and recieve emails then your dial-up modem is working. For some reason your "Earthlink Browser" is looking for a high speed connection,(like DSL or Road Runner cable). Easiest step to take would be to re-install your Earthlink dial-up software program, but remove existing program under "Control Panel" (Add or Remove Programs).
