Sounds like the push to start switch has gone bad. Not to expensive to fix, and pretty easy to do as well. You can remove the rear of the console, remove the push to start switch (lift the tab, then turn to unlock) and replace. Be sure to mark your wires so they go back in the right order. Jim

I took the top off of the dryer to access the door switch. Took the number off the part and went to Trible's appliance parts and got a replacement. Works fine now.

SOURCE: Buzzer won't go off when dryer is stopped - All else works fine - must leave door open

Fiddled around with the start button. It had gotten stuck in the on position and when I moved it around it freed up. I consider this a temporary fix only and have already ordered a replacement switch.

SOURCE: Dryer keeps running and timer continues to move around dial.

Change your timer. It has a malfunction in it. it's about a 100 dollar fix. Also your start switch may be bad.

Kenmore Washer 70 series Model #110.22722100 won't spin

Check door switch: If the lid switch is bad it will not drain or spin. Try this test: With lid open let it finish wash cycle. Press lid switch down with screwdriver. Washer should begin draining. Release switch. Motor should stop. Press switch a second time. Washer should start spinning as it continues to drain. If motor doesn't come on while lid switch is pressed, replace the switch. OR

Kenmore model 66812694 - quits running, buzzing noise at restart

bad motor, when you hear that noise open the door, hold in the door switch with one hand and with the other spin the drum and have someone else start it while you do this, all your doing is helping the motor start to spin but it sounds like a bad motor, this could be from not cleaning out the dryer,if it's gas it should be done once a year, electric can go another 6 months because there isn't an open flame in there,if you clean out the dryer and vent line the clothes will dry on time, the parts will last longer and you won't have a dryer fire.
