Hello! We are borrowing a Panasonic HDD camcorder from a friend. We are trying to upload the material we taped not with a USB cord, because we do not have the software, but with the SanDisk. When the download opens, it says there is only one video or picture available. We recorded tons more! Help?

Try using a USB cable from the camera to the computer the computer should recognise the camera and it should appear within windows explorer as an extra drive
If it has a memory card, usually SD or SHD mini-card, buy, beg or borrow a card-reader which plugs into your computer USB port, try copy / recover files from card to PC.
If you can't see the files then maybe try free download Express Recovery.
since it is in digital format a standered VCR wont read them the hi-8 tapes have a bigger VCR tape you can put the hi-8 tape in and insert that into a VCR but the hi-8 is an analog tape and.mini-DV is digital "DV = Digital Video" so a standard VCR wont read them
the only way is to borrow a friends Mini-DV camera and copy all your tapes over.
they do make a Mini-DV player but even the cheap ones cost more than a new camcorder would! Sorry to hear about your camcorder I hope this helps
if this camcorder use's mini dv tapes try a new tape ..otherwise it sounds like a dirty tape path ..this is provided you have not dropped it..need any more info or its a different format let me know..farr64[colin]
try http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/support ...some camcorders they show acces/cords for.. ..cannot remember if their usb cord is a weird proprietary plug or not (vaguely remember that it was or another brand that people grumble about). ...a least can try the mini usb for a friends card reader or digital camera and see if fits (for size anyway)
The camera end of the cord should be a "standard" plug same as fits some/most digital still cameras and at least some cell phones.
If your camera is like my SDR-H200, you have to remove the battery and run the camera with the AC adapter, and the USB cord goes into a little trapezoid-shaped hole in the lower-rear part of where the battery was.
