Generally u have 2 power wires. one is a constant power to the battery for backup memory for stations etc. the other goes to ignition. then just the speaker wires and a ground.

2006 subaru outback, missfire code - cylinders 1 and 3. Could it be coil or plugs and wires I'm told at service shop. Anybody come across this?

had miss fires with my 92 legacy gt.typical suby fault coil packs always go out in saying that check that you dont just have a foul or failed spark plug. easy fix if it is the coil i replaced mine with 2nd hand ones from the same model usualy find them at most subaru specialists wreckers etc depending on model.

I have a 92 legacy sedan with bad motor. Bought a 92 legacy wagon turbo. Do I have to change wire harness in front with computor, or can I change just computor?

hi im presuming your old car is non turbo if so you will have to change a lot of parts over to make it work, you will have to replace entire engine loom, the ecu will need changed over then the fuel pump and all of the fuel lines will need to be replaced with the bigger turbo model ones to keep up also the trans will bolt strait up but will be the major weak point so swap over if possible.

Installing aftermarket Kenwood stereo on 1991 Subaru Legacy. The subaru stock wiring does not have a red ignition wire. Can i simply connect the kenwood ignition wire to the Accessory +12v (Yellow/red)?...

Hi, according to my source, there should be an accessory wire that is blue with a yellow stripe. If your is yellow/red, that's fine. You actually should prefer an accessory wire to an ignition wire as there may be less static on the accessory wire. Just make sure the wire does not have power when the key is off. Don't use the illumination wires--they are not needed for the aftermarket head unit and should be taped off.

I dont know where my thermostat is in my 92 subaru legacy, but i think theirs something wrong with it. I have a brand new adiator, but my car is overheating still?

The thermostat is mounted low down on the bottom of the engine where the large radiator hose connects to the radiator. The housing is bolted to the engine block and the thermostat is inside. Don't attempt to replace it unless the engine is cold otherwise you will burn your hands. Make sure you bleed all of the air out of the system before driving off.
