The battery or the charger may be defective. Because it is so new I would advise you to either return it to the place of purchase or contact the manufacturer. If a defect surfaces within the first 30 days the manufacturer may require you to contact the seller first for any issues.

If you bought it less than two years ago and still have the receipt, you should be able to exchange the device for a new one. Alternatively, you can go to your local tablet service and ask them to fix it.

Go on eBay and type in "iPad repair service" or whatever tablet you gave. I just went through this and it was painless. Basically, you send them your tablet, they replace the digitizer (glass)and send it back within a couple of days. I only paid $69 for my iPad.

Need to replace glass screen on a Rca 7" dual core tablet

kathee, I think you have to have manufacturer authorized service place to replace the glass. Check manual re: the procedure and if still covered under warranty. I know the feeling.
