Question about Kenmore Dishwashers
We just bought our house. The first time when we tried to use our Kenmore dishwasher 587.1546580 and it leaked. I remember when the home inspector did the inspection half a month ago and run it through a whole washing cycle and no leakage. What could have happened?
The best way to determine what could be wrong is to take the side panel off the washer (usually only held on by four screws). Once this is off, have a flashlight handy, and start a wash cycle. From there, it's just a matter of following the water back to the source. Most likely candidates; leak around the float valve switch (toward the bottom front of the cabinet) or the door seal, but you can't go wrong by tracing back where the water is coming from, and THAT way, you won't be buying the wrong parts, you can order what you need! Good Luck!.

Check around the bottom of the seal on the door . It might have a build up of old soap and food this will cause a leakIf you clean it good it should take care of it.
