Sometimes your CD/DVD drive is hidden by default if it's empty. There is a setting for that. If you have a disk in there and the drive is not showing up then you should check the power and sata or ide cables to the drive inside the case. If they are connected properly, then you need to replace the drive.
Open the Device Manager (you can do a Windows search for it if you don't know how to open it).
Look in the Network Adapters section.
Remove your Ethernet device. Right-mouse-click it and make sure it's not disabled. If it's disabled, enable it and you should be fixed.
Otherwise, click it to highlight it and press "delete" to remove it. Then right-mouse-click on "Computer" (at the top) and "scan for hardware changes." Windows *should* install the correct driver.
Otherwise you'll need to go to the HP support site on another computer, save the driver to a flash drive, external hard drive, or CD or whatever, and then install that on your computer.
You first remove that device from device manager. Then restart the pc. You may check the BIOS menu for that device for any clarification. After restart since u have removed it the OS will detect the device and install it automatically. Hope this helped.
Go to device manager under Contol panel > System browse to go at DVD/CD rom device, right click then select properties. Then click on DVD Region then select your country then hit OK.
