My sander doesn't run at full speed - it's slow. I've changed the carbon brushes but this hasn't helped.

if it sparks a lot at the brushes , then there is an armature or winding fault
sanders are cheap so junk it and upgrade

Remove bottom plate to repair latch that holds the paper on

there are 4 screws that hold the platen assembly on, remove them and then the platen. I would also recommend going to "makitausa.com" and downloading a parts schematic so that you have a visual and also the part numbers for the repair.

The sandpaper works its way off the machine almost immediately after turning machine on. We already checked to see if the paper was the right size. We also made sure the tightening lever was secure.

If this is a belt sander then they have a tracking adjustment knob. You will need to adjust it so that the belt stays on and doesn't want to walk off.

Good day. How do I insert sandpaper into the Makita 9035N sander? Thank you.

looked at breakdown for the 9035 and this shows as a half sheet sander with 2 clips, they have a lever that has to be pulled away from the sander to allow you to lift up on the clamp and insert the paper under the clamp jaws when finished inserting the paper just push the levers back to their original position. You can download an owners manual by going to makitausa.com and typing in your model number. Let me know if you need more assistance.

E7-59 Finisher Upper Limit Sensor 1.
Stack Tray Paper Height detection Sensor, or Paper
Hold Lever detection Sensor is defective, or the
connector is disconnected.
2. Upper Limit detection Sensor is defective.
3. Upper Limit detection Sensor connector is
disconnected.
4. PCB is defective.

there is a sensor that registers the top of the top most sheet on the finisher. it determines where the tray should stop as it is filling up. the sensor does come adrift and needs to be refitted back into its holder. i'm afraid you may have to call a technician.

I have an old Makita table saw and need to change the blade. It is a circular saw mounted under a table. I can't find the stop that allows me to unscrew the fixing nut on the blade. It is Makita Model...

This link will take you to Makita and display an owners manual where you will see that the saw should have came with the necessary wrenches to change the blade. If they are not available I have used two different methods. Take care with either, that blade is just waiting to getcha. 1. I have clamped a pair of vice grips directly on the blade and let them stop against the saw top to keep the blade from turning or 2. I have levered a peice of soft wood against the blade to keep it from turning. According to Makita the thread is righthand, so you can apply the righty tighty lefty loosey rule to determine which way to loosen the nut. Good luck I hope this helps.

Pad on 9045B sander

Remove the bottom faom pad, which should just be held on with phillips screws. Under this you will see the eccentric weight that has a screw in the middle. Not sure if it is left hand thread or not so be carefull. It is normally thread locked aswell so be firm but fair when unscrewing it. Once it's out you should be able to lever the weight of by applying equal pressure to each side of it. It will be centered on a woodruff key so be cartefull not to lose it. Also, in between this part of the base and the main body of the machine there is a rubber skirt that is clamped to both parts. Unscrew the band clamping the skirt to the base and I think you should be able to pry it apart then.
