No... The 8110 model does not have an internal filter..If you are getting high salt alarm, check you salt concentration level... Should be between 2000 and 3000ppm.. 2600 ppm optimal. If above 4000ppm, drain about 20% of the water and fill with fresh water and check salt level again.. You should be back to normal.... Hope this helps you... Please write a comment if this helps...
2 reasons for this code...
1st... High salt level... You must check and should be between 2500 to 3000 PPM.. If higher, drain some water and fill with fresh water and re-check..
2nd... If salt level is okay, your electrolytic cell may have calcium buildup and must be cleaned and flushed.. Cap one end of the cell and fill with vinegar and soak for 6hrs+. Flush with water pressure until blades inside are clean and free of the "White Flaky" stuff...
Hope this helps you???
Good luck...
Turn up the setting ... if the CL is reading 0 then you aren't making any CL. Your salt is at 3400 ppm? And you determined this how? Does your generator test for salt content?
If you are using your pool, I suggest you start by introducing some powered CL to get the level to 2 to 4 PPM while you monitor the operation of your generator.
Hello,
the amount of salt that they reccomend in the book is just a starting point
You need to get a salt test kit that reads in #'s not colors
Get your pool to as close to 3000ppm as possible
lower than 2800ppm and you will not produce enough chlorine
any higher than 3500ppm and you can trigger high salt alarm, have bad tasting water, or even get cloudy water
Like you have done, when adding salt , filter only for 6 hours or so to fully disolve
I HAVE THE SAME POOL FOR YOUR FIRST START UP ADD 310 OF POOL SALT. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A INTEX SALTWATER CHLORINATOR I WOULD SUGGEST GETTING ONE. IT WILL GIVE YOU READINGS ON LOW SALT, HIGH SALT, AND ALSO HAS A BOOST FOR COPPER IONIZATION, WHICH KILLS ALGEA AND BACTERIA. MIX YOUR SALT AROUND THE POOL AND LET THE PUMP CIRCULATE IT. GET A TEST KIT TO CHECK YOUR SALT LEVEL. IT SHOULD BE AT .OO3 OR 3 PPM. TO DO A GOOD JOB OF KEEPING YOUR WATER CIRCULATED YOU MAY NEED TO UPGRADE YOUR PUMP FROM THE 2500 GPM TO THE 4000 GPM PUMP. THE INITIAL SALT YOU ADD SHOULD GET YOU IN THE BALL PARK. AFTER CIRCULATING AND SWIMMING A FEW TIMES CHECK THE LEVEL AND IF TO HIGH LET OUT WATER AND ADD FRESH, IF TO LOW ADD MORE SALT. ONCE SET YOU SHOULD BE GOOD TO GO AND ENJOY FOR THE SEASON. HOWEVER I RECCOMEND CHECKING YOUR POOL LEVELS WEEKLY. HOPE THIS HELPS.
There are several things you
may need to check and do:
- Test the salt level first with Test Kit, drain approximately 20% of
the pool water and refill with fresh water. - If
code 92 still appears despite the above step, there might be a
electrolytic cell failure. Please contact Intex Service Center, and
replace the cell if needed.
