We had the same problem and cleaning the filter worked. We found four coins, five baby socks, an inside of a pen, and lots of gunk!

You have to clean out the filter on the bottom by removing the lower panel and twisting the cap... careful lots of water comes out but will work great after

Have a problem with my machine that it wont go to the rinse cycle. The timer keeps going and the washing stops doing everything all together. I put a new controller board on it and still the samething. What can I do to fix it?

  • Anonymous Aug 27, 2011

I didnt have any tech support to help me but I was able to remove the tube that goes to the drain pump and it was clogged with a bobby pin. pulled it out and it works fine know. But I did get part of my answer from here at the "It wont Spin or Pump". So Thank you for the feed back from others problems. That was how I figured it out. It save me some money from trial and error.

Front load ge washer does not finish cycle

This model does not have a drain filter. There are filter screens inside the inlet valve where the hoses attach onto the machine. Take hoses off and look inside where the water goes into machine to see screens. Also, take the other end off hoses to make sure there are not screened hose washers in either end of the hose which may need to be cleaned or replaced.

Ge front load washer model WSXH208A Will not spin

Mine kept stopping mid cycle also, pouring water on the floor, then the start/pause button flashed and the door unlocked. I found the solution to clean the lint filter on the GE Adora. Go to http://www.instructables.com/id/GE-Adora-Lint-Filter-Cleanout/?download=pdf

I just did this and my washer is now running instead of the flashing start/pause and door unlocking. It was fairly easy. Make sure you have towels and a flat pan to catch the water if you don't have the machine on a riser. There may be water inside so a wet vac may be helpful too. Once my washer finishes what was in it, I have these funky towels to clean. You'll be very surprised what you find in the filter! Best of luck!

GE Adora front load washer overloaded now won't start

Washers - Resetting Electronic Controls on a Washer

If there is a pause in the washer cycle, the controls will lock up. The pause can occur because of a power failure or it was put in the test mode at the factory.

Also, if the washer was stopped before the cycle was complete or the consumer has pushed the stop/pause button to temporarily stop the cycle and the cycle is not reset. Over a period of 24 hours, the washer will pump out and spin, but will stay in the final spin.

To correct the situation, shut off the circuit breaker for 30 seconds or unplug the washer, then turn the timer knob around and back to any position other than final spin. Verify the water is turned on and restore power. This should resolve the issue.
