SOURCE: power button gone

the best help u can get is from the service center of the camera.
else do one thing.
as am from india i dont know what place is the HUB to buy any kind of electronics items near your place.
if u go to that kind of place where all kinds of electronics goods like computers, digicams, electronic components, etc etc...
there they would take the power button from any other old camera and fix it in yours.
but one thing is u dont need to prefer for a new button. old one will work fine. even inn service center they have old buttons. so try in service center first. then try in shops.

SOURCE: Plastic start button broken and start feature on board failed

You have to be sure the door switch connector is plugged into the board or it will not Start.

We have the service / repair manual for this model and have uploaded it to our site here to help you.

It will give you safety info, step by step help in disassembly, troubleshooting tips, and part numbers.

You will need the
free Acrobat Reader to view or print it in case you don't have it already.

You can order a new and improved select button assembly here.

Other parts can be ordered from Encompass (formerly Tritronics). Or you can call them toll-free at 866-779-5835.

Feel free to contact me directly (and please remind me of your full model number) for more information & help.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

SOURCE: nikon d300 depth of field button cover replacement

I think the factory repair service is the best choice for this type repair. The El Segundo location worked well for me. You may be able to contact them by phone (number on the Nikon web site) and ask about cost, but if you ship the camera to them they will give you a quote before starting work.

Ok my power button is missing like i can see the motherboard, I wanna know if theres a way to tuern it on by pressing on certaint spots on the board. pleas dont wanna hear its bad or could hurt you. I just...

Without seeing your PC I'll have to give you two options.
1) Assume you are just missing the plastic panel button on/off cover -
Should now be exposed a circuit board with a tiny on/off button. Pressin that will work. But a) Its delicate b) Your goin into exposed circuitry; shocking.
2) You are missing the on-off circuit board also. Will need disassemble and replacing
Both parts are reasonably cheap and are worth replacing. See Ebay

My msi u210 stays black the screen when i turned on. only the the led that look moon light..how do i fix the problem somebody know how or anybody encountered the same problem?

Hi malbasmunchy,

If you see power lights but nothing appears on the screen, it could be a "POST" (Power-on Self Test) problem or simply LCD problem.

Here are some steps that you can try.

1. Remove the battery and the ac adapter then press the power button for at least 20 seconds to drain electric charges left from the system. (You may need to repeat this step to get it work.)

2. If above step doesn't work, try to plug in an external monitor and see if you get display from the external monitor. You may need to press the Fn + F4 or F5, depends on the key designed on the keyboard to toggle between displays.

3. If you get display from the external monitor, I'm sure your having problem with the LCD components. In this case, check and replace faulty LCD backlight, LCD cable or LCD inverter. The LCD inverter is often a culprit.

4. Try to reinsert the memory module/s (RAM) of the unit, try using one RAM at a time to see if it works. A faulty RAM will cause the laptop not to POST.

5. If reinserting the RAM doesn't help, most likely your motherboard needs to be replaced.

Hope this helps.

I have had an MSI U210 notebook for a few months now, and randomly my wireless connection will fail, even though two other laptops in my house have completely fine connection. Please help! I cant deal...

Have you confirmed this by trying to use your MSI RIGHT NEXT to the router? Degradation in signal can lead to connection interruptions. If your laptop functions like the other two when you get close to the wireless router (the device that puts out the wireless signal) then that means there is just too much stuff in between the laptop and router when you try to use it, therefore causing signal interruptions. The radio waves put out by wireless routers are typically not able to go through many solid objects.
If this isn't then problem, then try updating your drivers for the wireless adapter in your notebook. Go to MSI's site, go to their support section, and download the wireless adapter drivers for your model. Hopefully that clears it up.
Good luck.
