yes it's turning but it's not sucking up thru the bottom or thru the hose?! My Mom used it when she came over the other day and said it worked fine-- I turned it on and it won't suck-- changed the bag out and still nothing-- it has a filter and I'm looking online to see if I have to change the filter for some reason. I won it off the Bonnie Hunt show in December and received it about February and we don't use it that much (i'm ashamed to say)

Thank You!! Thank You!! That worked -- I had to take a broom stick and put it thru the hose to get the hair ball out!!

Are the brushes turning? Suction, just not strong? How long have you had the machine? Anything peculiar that you sucked up inside the machine lately?

Sounds like there is something blocking the main airway. I doubt its the filter. You may have to partially disassemble it. Maybe a hairball or something is blocking it I sucked up one of my daughters thin socks one time, had to take it apart to get it out.

My vac has an access panel in the back for this. Thankfully or I would have never been able to get it out. Remove a couple of screws, look for any blockage.

Unplug the machine, and go hunting. If its not in the airways, it is likely close the motor blades. You can't mess anything up, so grab a screwdriver and have at it. Just remember to replace all screws in place when done.

Hope this helps some. Good Luck!

It is not sucking at all

So your machine sucks :>) Sorry I couldn't resist.

Remove the bag. Turn the machine over and remove the base plate. At one side of the brush towards the back, you will see the hole that all the fluff goes through, to the motor and then onwards and upwards to the bag. That is where your blockage will be. If you can get it all your can make a little hook from a wire hanger. You can also put the machine outside and run it without the bag. This creates a lot more force and will often dislodge blockages. Remove as much as you can first though.

My Miele vacuum's hose has stopped sucking-help!!

Sounds like you might have something caught in it. If you have another vacuum with a hose, use that machine to suck out the clog in your Miele hose.

Steam coming out of Miele S7000 upright vacuum cleaner

There is no steam generator on your Miele. It can only be smoke or dust. Are you certain it is steam. If you have sucked up water the motor could be in danger of shorting out.

Miele S7210 red light on

You may have more dog hair in the main hose. Pull the hose out of the body, turn the lower hose swivel 90 degrees parallel to the floor and twist the hose off. You will see where to remove it at the swivel. Also check the port door on the back of the vacuum near the bottom of the upper section. It can be looks like a parallelogram with 2 plastic screws, twist the screws half a rotation and gently pry the cover off. After clearing out any debris, replace the cover and fasten the screws. A small LED flashlight will be very handy for checking all of the ports and hoses.

No suction at the hose?

There could be a clog IN the hose somewhere. If it is easily removed, take it outside and run a garden hose through it. Your bag might be filled to the top as well...?

Vacuum sucked up a sock through the hose- now it's clogged how do I fix it upright vacuum

Best thing you can try is getting a "snake" like for unclogging water pipes. Start at where it went in, the hose is behind the brush roll, just off to one side. Gently push the snake in until you feel the scock and twist the snake while pulling it out; if nothing comes out after a few attempts, try a reverse approach by removing the rear parallelogram looking port on the back rear of the vacuum. There are 2 plastic screws which only have to make about a quarter turn. Gently lift the cover off the port and try the snake down the left channel.
