I just bought the eclipse cld and it won't turn on after charging for hours

If the rechargeable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced. Rechargeable batteries will fail if stored in a discharged state for long periods.

How to register

Hello,
  1. Turn on your Palm phone. Wait for the boot-up sequence to finish. The boot-up screen will vary based on which cell phone service you signed up for. Holding down the red "call-disconnect" button on the right side of the five-way navigator button will finish the turn-on process.
  2. Enter the activation code. As soon as you turn on your phone, an activation screen will ask you for your ESN/MEID code. To register your Palm phone, you will need to enter this code. Then pick the language you want to use and click "confirm."
  3. Create your profile. You will be prompted to agree to accept your cell phone service provider's terms and conditions. Once you accept this, follow the guide to create your own profile. Your Palm phone will be registered after you go through the tutorial.
Regards

How do you turn on the Palm m515

the palm m515 has a button at the top right corner .. hitting the button quickly will turn the unit on or off ... holding the button for 2 seconds will turn the display backlight on or off ... if the unit fails to start then you can do a reset .. thats like a reboot .. the top of the stylus unscrews ... that gives you a little probe that you can use to push the reset button on the back top center ... if the battery is bad you can still run the machine with the charger hooked up ..

Palm i705 won't turn on

Hi,

are you certain that the belkin universal charger, is compatable with the palm ?
if any single cable, is wired differently. this could have damaged the palm.
try a hard-reset using your palms user manual.
this varies between pdas, usually comprising of either a reset hole, at the bottom of the palm, or underneath the battery on certain models.
i,d suggest obtaining the correct charger/usb cable.
as you may cause damage to the unit. most new devices have a battery fitted, but does not necessarily mean it,s charged.

Hope this helps, please rate the solution.
