Sounds familiar. Is this a HE front load Style washer.? If so, are you useing the HE detergent. What is sounds like is that the machine is sensing too much suds in the pressure switch and its gonna repeat doing that unitl it fells that the suds are gone. I would find your pressure switch and try blowing into it and start it up again. If it keeps doing that, then change your pressure switch. I belive these stlye washers have a sud sensor in the pressure switch. Like i said, if its the HE front load style washers. If your not useing HE detergent, you must, becaused in the long run, your tub bearin will go bad and then youll have a load washer. Look for detergents with a small "he" sysmble..thos are the ones you need to use for these type of washers....hopefuly this helps

Is your drain hose at least 48 inches off the floor? If not, gravity is taking over and allowing the machine to drain once it fills to the top.

LG Turbodrum DD 8.5kg WT-R852 washing machine, will not completely fill with water to water, to initiate the wash cycle, wash process stops there.

THE WASHER IS OBVIOUSLY HAVING A PROBLEM DETECTING THE WATER LEVEL? IT DETECTS AS FULL WHEN ITS NOT AND THEN GOES INTO DRAIN CYCLE? THE FILLS AGAIN? I would suspect the water pressure switch but if it was detecting a full cycle it would sent it into wash cycle? the water inlet valve only allows the amount of water it is told to send in and does not control the amount or drain cycle. Im not sure here but Im thinking maybe the water level switch may be flawed, the one that has low-medium and high? all these can be checked with a multimeter

My GE SpaceSaver Washer/dryer will wash, but when it's time to rinse and spin the machine stops. It will not drain, riinse , or spin.

It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors due to feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET/MOTOR/DRAIN pump/ valve to open up and allow each function to be driven starting from the flow of water into the drum as also the drain valve to open to exit the water at the point of the program cycle. If this does not happen then the voltage at the valve/motor/pump must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.

Agitator starts at begining of cycle before washer is full

Please be carful as running the agitator without enough water will overheat and kick out the motor, however it should be ok when it resets itself.
Yes, the machine should stop agitating when you lift the lid so this too is part of the problem.
After looking at the print I can only suggest that the cam contacts in the timer ( contacts 12 and 14) that start the motor are burned and stuck together.

Frigidaire (LTF2940E) Washer starts, stops, starts, stops...

The cycle doesn't advance When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:

  • It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.

  • It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.

Washer fills up than starts draining while in wash cycle

Hello , here is the fix-your drain hose is placed to low in the drain line in the wall, it can not be placed in water or it will siphon the water out of your washer into the drain pipe and it wont stop until it hits air. try pulling your drain hose up and out of the drain and get a zip tie or cable and tie it to one of the water valves by the drain pipe placing the end of the drain hose about 5-6 inches inside the drain pipe. Let me know if you have any other questions and good luck it will work.

Washer fills and drains repeatedly

Have a look at the routing of your drain hose. It sounds a bit as if: a. The highest point of the hose isn't high enough (you normally want to aim for about 3 feet off the ground) - so that water starts draining from the machine before it is finished filling. and b. There isn't an effective air break or anti-siphon valve where the drain hose goes into the domestic drainage system - so that once the machine starts to drain by itself, it continues until empty. A.
