Frigidair ATF6000ES1 Checked door latch, board says door is locked and light is on for final spin. Even after water pump shuts off, the trap area(big black rubber trap)still has a lot of water in it. All the way up to the bottom of the spinning drum.

Did you check your drain hose? Check out the drain hose going into the drain or where ever its draining into. MAke sure its not too far in the drain or to far into the sink, wherever it is draining into. Water may be syphening back into washer and pump is operating to long and washers senses it and stops. SO your washer fills up, goes into the wash cycle and washed normally coorect? It sounds like everything is doing what its supposed to do. I meen, you said you put a new pump. You checked the ppressure hose. The door latch sounds good because it supposed to lock when it goes into final spin (for safty reasons) . The pressure switch doesnt sound like its stuck open or closed, otherwise it wouldnt go into the wash cycle or your pump wouldnt turn on when its time to drain. You did say you hear your pump running? It does drain, correct? I would assume nothing is stuck in the pump because its new. Check your drain hose out to make sure it not how i described it. if so, readjust it and operate the washer again. if problem still persists, possibly one of the boards is mis communication for the final spin operation....but lets not assume its the boards right now, lets try the little stuff first....

If your washer fills to the correct level, agitates through the wash cycle, and then drains, I would check the door safety switch for proper positioning and switching operation. The switch should have minimal resistance (closed circuit) when it is depressed and high resistance (open circuit) when released.

Model Wm2496HSM will not spin and drain

Jodie, the OE fault is a drain problem. First thing to look at is the pump coin trap on the bottom of the washer behind the little door. If the washer has water in it, pull out the little hose, remove the stopped at the end and drain into a shallow bucket. When the water stops, removed the trap by twisting the trap handle counter clock wise. If it is full of "stuff" clean it and reinstall it. If it is clean, then you either have a bad pump or something stopping the pump.

Water wont go out

Take the power plug off the wall. Be prepared for a lot of water before attempting the following. It doesn't spin because the unit is not draining water. It will not spin with water in it - must drain first. Check drain hose for kink, check exit pipe for blockage. Remove the front access panel, bottom front, screws beneath; if you find a pipe there with a cap -this is for draining water. Could be your "coin trap assembly" is blocked, therefore not allowing all the water to pump out. Remove the clamp (or unscrew) that connects the trap assembly to the pump and clean it out.
If helped pl say so.

I have a kenmore front loader recently it has decided to stop spinning and retain water. Help?

Regardless of model, this is probably a drain pump problem. With many Kenmore washers, there is a pump trap that can become plugged. Remove the washer's bottom front panel, if there is a white drain pump casing, turn out the pump trap counter-clockwise, making sure to have a bucket to catch the water. Check and clean the trap, and try to spin the pump impeller, if the pump impeller is stuck, something may actually be stuck in the impeller. If the impeller feels wobbly, you will want to just replace the drain pump entirely. Depending on the model, there may just be a hose connecting directly to the pump, with no trap available, just pull the hose off and check for an item plugging the pump. With any model, there will be WATER that will POUR out. Be prepared.

Error Code 03 Revisited

The resolution for the dreaded "error code 03" with a Bosch WFK 2401 is to replace the drain pump. It's around $50 at repairclinic.com (item #144489 - the only part you should need) and they had it in stock at Tribbles in Upper Marlboro, MD (awesome parts company!).

I'm a home owner who saw similar syptoms as everyone else; the issue was interrmitant, I could observe the impeller spinning when dry draining, but when trying to drain wet, a little might come out if any. I even removed the back panel, disconnected the hoses and cleaned everything out (which I suggest doing when replacing the pump), but the problem persisted.

*disclaimer - I am by no means professional repair man. Proceed at your own risk!*

I finally swapped out the pump and it works fine. Remember to unplug the unit, disconnect all hoses, remove the detergent tray, remove the four screws from the front panel around the drain trap. Gently lay the unit on its front being sure not to put pressure on the dials and to have a towel under it. A little bit of water will come out.

Pinch to disconnect the electrical relay to the pump. Disconnect the hoses at their spring clamps, remove the pump and replace it with the new one (I kept the hose from the discharge port to the drain output connected to make things a little easier. Reconnect the new pump the same way - you really can't get it wrong it you do it this way (thanks go to Bosch for their modular engineering techniques - I can't imagine it would be this simple with any other manufacturer).

Gently stand the unit back up and connect the pump to the front panel again using the four mounting screws. You can position the pump my positiioning your finger inside the pump and up the discharge port.

Be sure everything is tight, reconnect all hoses, plug the unit back in and observe for any water leaks (the back panel should still be off to facilitate this; be sure to keep clear of the belts back there.

When finished, replace the back panel and viola - I was done in an hour.

Note: when inspecting the old pump, I can see exposed O-ring near the discharge port - where the was a lot of wear. I think when water got in there and perhaps leaked into the motor area, the unit shut down the pump to prevent electric shock - thus it worked when dry but not when wet.

F02 error on Kenmore front load, followed solution, problem still exist, What next?

cant see what you tried to repair problem (dont see original post) but F02 is a long drain time. or innaddaquate drain. usually from a clogged, drain pump/button trap. ill assume you were told to remove the lower access panel, gain acess to the drain pump assy, clean the "button trap" of foreign derbis. if thats been done and your still having draining issues iehter theres something i nthe drain hose, or perhaps the drain pump impeller has been damaged preventing proper flow of water.

F2 error code on my Kenmore Elite HE3 washer

Based upon your description, the drain pump has either failed or the pump filter has become clogged.
To check the pump, remove the bottom access panel. There you will find access to the pump clean-out.(Large,white screw cap) BE READY TO CATCH LOTS OF WATER. CAREFULLY AND S_L_O_W_L_Y unscrew the pump clean-out, catching and discarding the water. When the water flow finally stops, completely remove the clean-out filter. Inspect the clean-out filter, the drain hose from the tub as well as inside the pump impeller for any additional debris.

If you need further assistance, let me know

Washer will not leave the drain cycle

Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display then
  • Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
  • Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
  • Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects.
  • If the above does not correct the problem, replace the pump.

It's because of a Long Drain condition. If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off the code is flashed.
But Note: After 4 minutes the "Sud" error is usually displayed, then 4 minutes later the error code is displayed.
