If this is an Amana, the evaperator fan motor works through the defrost thermostat. If the thermostat is open (no continuity), the fan motor will not run. This is usually the solution for this particular brand. Replace the thermostat and once it satisfies (within 5-10 mins. of replacement), the fan should start to run.

MY FRIDGE ISNT GETTING COLD

Whilpool uses a fan at the back of the freezer to circulate air. If it burns out, the fridge will still cool, but not as well.
However, these don't usually burn out. What usually happens is that ice builds up and prevents air from circulating. If that is the case then you probably need a new bimetal temperature sensor on your cooling coils. This sensor sits at the back of the freezer (behind the wall) and tells the fridge when to defrost. If it doesn't then the ice will plug up the vents and may even stop the fan from working. Hope this helps.

Whirlpool refrigerator does not cool on refrigerator side. Freezer side works as it should.

most fridges have coils on the freezer side and circulate cold air to the fridge side. if the freezer is freezing, then the air circulation to fridge is not taking place. find the air ports and make sure they are not closed or blocked (they should be adjustable to vary fridge temp) and check the fan on the freezer side as it achieves circulation.

The thermostate switch on and off but the fridge is not cold. The Freezer works 100 percent

You are 60% solved... The thermostat controls the freezer. Cold air from the freezer is blown into the refrigerator to cool it. The fridge dual control electrically controls the freezer, but uses a simple air damper to control the freezer air into the fridge.

Look for:
Stuck damper, stopped air circulation fan, possible ice/frost blockage. The problem is in the airflow path between the freezer and the fridge side.

Freezer working but Fridge not cooling... Tried adjusting temp to max cool and nothing. Unblocked vents, still nothing... Pulled off back panel cover to vacuum and brush... still nothing... help??? In case...

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper) between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it. Make sure this fan is running. You may have to hold the door switch in for it to run. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp.
The problem could be the electronic control if you have one or the mechanical linkages.

If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of cold air and eventually affect the freezer too.

LG Refrigerator has no cold air for fridge but freezer works fine

Sounds like the freezer fan(FF)is wearing out, This problem is very hard to diagnose because the fan spins but not fast enough to circulate the chilled air thru the freezer and refrigerator. This repair costs parts and labor around $300.00
