Make sure you check the super heat on the unit. (super heat is the temp of the suction line at the condensor outlet minus the suction pressure. It should be fifteen degrees less than the suction pressure.) This should be done by a skilled refridgeration tech. Whom ever installed the equipment should be able to help you with this.

  1. Air conditioner system is discharged. Have the system evacuated, charged and leak tested by an MVAC certified technician, utilizing approved recovery/recycling equipment. Repair as necessary.
  2. Air conditioner compressor clutch not engaging. Check compressor clutch wiring, electrical connections and compressor clutch, and repair or replace as necessary.

1999 Ford Taurus 3.0l EFI 6cyl, Heater does not work, only blows cold air, have already flushed the radiator cooling system, and installed a new thermostat, still cold air. Anyone's help will be Greatly...

It could be air locked. Feel both your heater hoses, and, with the engine running, loosen the one that's cold, if there is one. If that doesn't help, it is probably your heat control valve that is malfunctioning.

89 merc tracer blows cold air brrrrrrr

I would recommend flushing the heater core with water thru the coolant line, then blowing compressed air thru it also. And when you refill the coolant, make sure there is no air in the system.I would also recommend replacing the thermostat if you have the time and the money and the knowledge to do so

Air conditioner isn't blowing cold air

Could be a number of things...electrical connections causing the compressor not to run. Turn on AC and turn your thermostat all the way to cool...now visually check to see if compressor is engaged and not just free wheeling. Most likely you lost your refridgerant due to leak in the system...would need to find leak and repair then have your system re-charged with refridgerant. Best case scenario...your system just needs a charge of refridgerant due to not having enough.

A/C blowing hot air while driving

Could be a vacuum line is busted. When you apply brakes it provides pressure to the system for freon to move and blow cold. Without that forced pressure freons not moving. I had that problem with a ford f150 and finding the busted vacuum line fixed it. It may be different with a mitsubishi, ask a local mechanic

This sounds like you either need to clean or replace the filter, but if the filter is some what new you might want to take a look at the coils just past the filter, if the coils do not have a shine to them then you might want to buy some coil cleaner (i found simple green or formula 50 works great), then you will have to spray the coils with the cleaner, let sit about 10-15 min, then give it a very good rinse with warm water. After that it should work like it is brand new. Enjoy!
