Download binary files with Clearwire

I recently moved to an area where it is not peossible to get a cable modem connection. I am forced to use Clearwire wireless service. They advertise thier service as "Broadband". I was much dismayed to discover, per thier tech people, that I cannot configure Forte Agent or any other newsreader to download binary files. Is there any way around this problem withou getting a satellite connection which is really expensive?
