Question about RIM BlackBerry? Curve 8330 Cellular Phone
The 1x refers to your data signal strength. It must say 1XEV to have full coverage. Full coverage allows you to email, txt, etc. It might be the area you are in but if travel around and no changes, check you connections. "Manage Connections", the icon is an antenna, make sure your network check box is checked. if so, scroll down to "mobile network options" and make sure your "data services are on". If it is on, power down the phone, and remove the battery for minimum 2 minutes, then put battery back in and turn on. if you data is still only 1x contact your service provider.
