Try Master Distributors, they have them in stock for under $10 (plus shipping).

Here's a link to the part you're looking for.

You can also give them a call and provide them with your model number of your chainsaw. Your sprocket number is #107713-01

Hope this helps you get cutting again! Best regards!

Motor runs, chain does not turn

It occurs because it is plastic gear on a low cost saw.
I went to Remington and found the IPB for your saw.

The gear is pn 107713-01 and NLA at Remington (no longer in production, no local support either).

Input "107713" here and found 2 results

If me and I were going to try a repair I would use the 122511-01 for the bearing if nothing else.

Motor turns --sprocket or chain doesn't

I'm assuming your kill switch is not engaged, the front handle should be pulled to the rear. It's normal to have some damage on the sprocket from loose chains catching on the corner so I doubt you need a new one. The motor turns? I'm assuming you're talking about the clutch, and if the clutch spins but the chain does not it sounds like your bar may be damaged or as you said the sprocket may need to be replaced if it's seriously been misused.

Where do I get a Remington 16" EL8 chainsaw repaired for what seems to be a Gear Train Failure. I need a repair outlet near Beaverton, Oregon, 97007

  • Type "YourModelNo" into the "Model #:" window, then click search.
  • Click the YourModelNo - Remington Electric Chain Saw "View Model" link.
  • Click “View Owners Manual” or "View Illustrated Parts Breakdown" link.
I think your model is 107625. A complete "SPROCKET DRIVE GEAR BEARING KIT 747" part number "122511-01" is listed at $16.99

Are you aware Remington is no longer in production and most replacement parts are exhausted? Before driving to any repair facility please contact them. If you undertake the repair your self please call 1 (800) 475-5660 (have saw within arm reach). Inspect your saw and verify my model number matches your saw.

Please do not punish my rating because you are unhappy with RemingtonPower. I provided a very helpful answer, perhaps not the one you wanted to hear. Sorry
