What is 85 falt code mean - Cars & Trucks

Hi. I feel that you should go back to the shop and complain. For $85. they should have also provided you with the Air Bag codes and their meanings. The 013D means that the Air Bag module has detected a fault with the driver's side air bag. This doesn't mean that the air bag is defective. These are sensitive circuits. It could be a component, wiring, connection or the module. I hope this helps. Please write back if there is anything else.

There are two sensors on each bank. One before and one after the catalytic converter. Did you change the correct one?

I suggest changing the cooling thermostat to make sure it's not getting stuck causing temporary overheating and flush the system and put fresh coolant in.
The guage will go hotter then go back to normal every time the thermostat opens to let cooled water into the engine block which is normal. Time for concern is when the guage goes hot and stays there along with bubbling sounds and coolant overflow onto the ground. Which you probably already know.

code PO188 fuel temperature sensor b high input. that means fuel rail temperature sensor circuit high input.fuel temperature sensor located on left of fuel rail just ahead of fuel supply line pipe.

The first thing to do is to add an additional hard wire ground. Its easy, inexpensive and will help to ensure that a system ground falt is not causing random sensor falt signals to the computer resulting in check engine codes. Attach a new wire from the battery to the block to the intake manifold.I have had this problem and it took a long time to figure it out especially if you have multiple sensors falting. Would'nt think of a central ground falt but it does happen.

scan the ob2 port, verify trouble code, then clear with scan tool

When the Check Engine light comes on that means that the computer in your Explorer has set Diagnostic trouble codes and stored them in the computers memory.After all repairs are made to all D.T.C. The codes need to be erased from your computer, this resets the Check Engine Light, and it should not come on again untill the computer finds another falt.Good Luck.

hello i got a 1990 dodge daytona shelby the code 13 is MAP sensor signal to the computer (ECU) not changing so the map sensor is should be on the firewall with a vacuum line on it little black box looking thing well make sure it plug in and good and that it dose not have a leaking vacuum line if that dose not work you have a bad map sensor thay run about 30 to 100 at auto zone o onec you think you fix it remove the battery term for about 5 mins with the key on and trun the key off before conttecting the battey back up drive for about 20 mins to see if the code show up if you get code 55 all that means is end of falt code list you mite get a code 12 meaning The battery has been disconnected and the computer (ECU) has been reset hope that help keep that daytona runing it a good car
