SOURCE: presser foot lever does not lift presser foot

If you can remove the cover on the left side you will see the presser foot bar. On the bar there will be a screw that may be loose. Turn the handwheel until the needle is all the way down and lift the foot manually until just before it makes contact with the needle clamp and tighten the screw on the presser foot bar.
That should do it.

Error message on Pfaff 7570 is "bring presser foot lifter to sewing position?" Is this a fatal error or is this a procedure that has to be done before the machine will operate?

Assuming that the presser foot lifter is working, this shouldn't be a fatal error. The presser foot has to be down to sew. The lifter needs to be in the down position to put the foot down.

The manual for the Pfaff Creative 7570 is available on the product page: http://www.pfaff.com/en-US/Machines/creative-7570 . The direct link to the manual is http://www.pfaff.com/SiteMedia/PFAFF/Products/Machines/Support-manuals/Creative_7570-manual-EN.pdf?ext=.pdf . See page 32 (page 36 of the PDF) of the manual to see a picture of the presser foot lifter.

I hope this helps.

Pfaff 7550 presser foot will not go all the way down after using darning foot and returning to regular sewing.

By chance, do you still have the darning foot on the machine? If so, it is shorter than a regular foot which allows space to manually maneuver the fabric.

Also check that the presser foot pressure is activated and the feed dogs are in the up position.

Can the presser foot be raised slightly on pfaff tiptronic 2030 to facilitate free motion quilting? There is not enough clearance with feed dogs down to freely move material to quilt. Thank you.

You need a special foot for free motion quilting--it is slightly shorter in height than a regular presser foot, which essentially provides space between the presser foot and the needle plate to manually move the fabric. Sometimes machines came with a standard darning foot accessory. Your Pfaff dealer probably has at least one style in stock. But there are other specialty feet you can probably use, ie Big Foot, clear free motion foot, C-shaped, oval, etc. You can also purchase a shank adapter (verify it is the correct shank for your machine) and use it with a kit of snap-on presser feet so you can have a variety of presser feet for different functions.

My presser foot "handle" is stuck on my Pfaff Creative 7550, I can't move it to use my machine. I don't see anything wrong, any suggestions?

Yikes! I bet that since it has sat for so long that you have some corrosion not allowing the foot bar to be moved.

Pfaff 7550 pressure foot

The presser adjustment is usually above the presser foot near the top of the machine.

It can be a post on the top of the machine, a chrome screw on the top of the machine.

Check with your Pfaff dealer.

I use the walking foot for this technique...no puckers if the quilt is first basted.
