If you get the one red light in the upper right corner and and e47 message you have a hardware issue involving your graphics, a wire in your xbox has been f-ed. you need to re-overheat your xbox. you can cook it by taking 2 Q-tips take the cotton off one side and stick them in the two fans in the back of the xbox. make sure nothing but the power cord is connected while doing this. wait till the xbox has two red ring lights to the left which means it overheated. unplug the power cord take out the q-tips and start your xbox this shoud work for a few weeks.

Your console has the E74 error message. Your system is dead, call Microsoft cutomer support. It is covered by the warranty so repair is free.

How do i fix an error 74 on an xbox360

The E74/E6x/E4x/E8x are famous error codes that have plagued many Xbox 360 gamers. This error codes will be displayed on your screen, each indicating different problem with your Xbox 360. It's usually defined by the single red light or 1 Red Light Error lit up at lower right quadrant on the Red Ring of Light on your Xbox 360 console.
E74: There is high chance it's a scaler chip problem (the "ANA" or "HANA" chip near the AV cable connection) it can also be caused by a faulty AV cable so check that first. In some cases it is a problem with the GPU and may be repairable by using the Xbox 360 Repair Guide. Xbox 360 E74 error has reported to increasing a lot for the newer Xbox 360 version.
Hope this was helpful?

My xbox 360 has 3 red lights and is not working

Turn your Xbox off for like 3 hours..... Turn it back on, if ERROR 74 shows up then you have RROD "Red Ring Of Death".... https://myservice.xbox.com/en-us/Pages/Welcome.aspx If you haven't had it for three years yet, you can send it in to Microsoft and they will fix it free of charge... Next time, try to use the Xbox less.... The more you use it the more it is prone to overheating melting a motherboard chip thus causing error 74

1 red light e 74 code

E74 is an error related to video. It's either:
  • Bad video cable
  • Bad graphic chipset issue
Try a different video cable, unplug and plug it back in to make sure the video cable is seated properly. If it's neither of these issues, the only thing to do is to contact Microsoft's customer service and get it replaced/fixed.

It has a red light

DO NOT OPEN YOUR CONSOLE!

Its known as the e74 Error and Microsoft will fix it for free with free shipping. Takes about 2 weeks.
There is video and different ways to fix it online but it will happen again with those half baked solutions.

I have code error 74

Code E74 1 red light flashing and error message on screen right? It is the scaler chip, it happens because the scaler chip starts overheating. If you stop the heat build up on the chips then you should be fine.

You can send your Xbox 360 back in for repair or fix it yourself with a good Xbox 360 Repair guide

Xbox 360 e74 error

Having the e-74 code is when the video chip on the 360 over heats and becomes un soldered your best bet is to turn the 360 on with a towel over it and wait for 3 red lights the call microsoft and tell them the 3 lights issue dont mention the 1 light or it will cost you dearly around 150$
