Generic problem for all Standard Televisions

My husband pushed a button on a univeral remote now tv is stuck on video I have pushed every button but it will not work The menu key only works to select langauage and to set picture color. please help
On my television, video appears in the upper right hand corner & the screen is purple. It will not allow me to change the channels. I do not get any pictures or sound

Look on the remote for keys that are labled tv/vcr or source or input... In fact, if you go to the front of the unit - that's a Sanyo right - find the grouping of buttons that change the channel, volume etc.. There should be a button marked source or input there.. Press it as many times as it takes to get back to the input source your cable is on...
