Mitsibushi tv model#VS60609

The front key pad has been locked and the tv was turned off and we don't have a remote is there anyway to reset?

    My kids were messing with the front buttons got into the menu and the next thing I saw it was locked and couldn't do anything then stupid me I thought by turning it off might reset it but know I can't do anything.

    Try unplugging it for about 15 minutes and see if that will reset it.. If not let me know we'll try something else...

    There is no other locks that I'm aware of or that are listed in the owner's or service manual other than Parental Control... It's a longshot but maybe they set the timing mode which restricts the unit from any channels all the time and somehow it just won't come on... Only way to reset P/C is by pressing the number 9 and QV on the remote at the same time. Unfortunately you don't have the remote so you have one of two options - - (1) buy the original remote or (2) get a miracle remote for a fraction of the cost... http://www.miracleremote.com/

    Seriously, take a look at those miracle remotes.. We have almost every brand here in the shop and they all access EVERY feature of the original, including the service menus.

Child lock and the remote wont work on it i tried other tcl remotes and it the same thing the buttons on the tv dont work either when press it says key lock help me out plzz
Can the tv be reset to factory default , if it can this should undo the parental lock.
If not, contact a repairman who has experience of your make. I had a forgotten password on a technomate satellite receiver and the technician told me that the model I had was installed with ageneric code in case the user set code was forgotten.
Anyway, reset if you can and ask a tv technician if you cannot

I accidentally turned on the fpa lock and don't have a remote. What now?? Any hope? I also could not get the CC up before I got locked out.

To turn out FPA lock with RCA TV, you must have its original remote control handset. If you haven't one, just buy a new one of borrow it from your friends or relatives, who own the same model of RCA TV. After unlock, you can use any other remote control. If you are using the original remote control, do the following to unlock it.

Most RCA TV sets use a four digit code to control the v-chip. The code reset is different depending on the model. Try each number until you find the one that works for you.
  1. Hold down the MENU button on the remote and VOLUME DOWN button on the TV it's self at the same time for at least 4 seconds. The set won't say so, but the lock will be unlocked
  2. Hold down the 0 (zero) button on the remote and the VOLUME DOWN button on the TV itself at the same time for at least 4 seconds. The set won't say so, but the lock will be unlocked
  3. Hold down the MENU button on the front of the TV and the TV button on the remote at the same time for at least 4 seconds. 4- Hold down GO BACK button on the remote and MENU button on the front of the TV at the same time for at least 4 seconds.
Hold down EJECT button on the front of the TV set and the MENU button on the remote at the same time for at least 4 seconds. Depending on the model, one of the methods should unlock the V-chip. Now, if desired, you can change the settings on the V-chip by going to the MENU and going to PARENTAL CONTROLS, or on some sets, going to MENU and then going to TV SETUP, then to V-CHIP SET.

Locked key pad
The procedure to unlock the key pad is to hold down the MENU button for 15 seconds. If that doesn't do it you have a problem.

called a TV repairman. I know $65. to start service call but feel it will be fixed correctly in a timely manner.

You will for sure need to borrow a remote from someone to do this. But I will give you the way to unlockit just in case you can get one. Philips sets use a four digit code to control the v-chip. The override code for Philip sets is 0711, although it may say "Incorrect code" the first time to trick you. If "Incorrect code" is displayed, simply enter 0711 again. To use it hit the MENU key to get to the menus. Go up or down until you reach AUTOLOCK or SMARTLOCK, depending on the model, and push the "right arrow" key on the remote. Enter the override code, and enter it a second time if it says it is incorrect. Once in the AUTOLOCK or SMARTLOCK menu, go to BLOCK, and push the "right arrow" key. Go to BLOCKING OPTIONS and press the "right arrow" key. Go to MASTER DISABLE and press the "right arrow" key so that it says "MASTER DISABLE ON". The v-chip is now reset. Good Luck

Hi, I have a 2003 Namco Plug and Play TV game, the one you plug in to your tv and then play Pacman, RallyX, etc. I have picture and sound, but its black and white. I am plugging it into my Orion VHS player which is plugged into my Symphonic 1995 ST131E TV. Any help???
