Trying to figure out where to charge my a/c on my 1989 ford bronco. there are two valves one by the dryer and one by the the radiator which one do i use ?

Use the one by the drier. your hose that came with the freon can should only fit this one port.

Check the battery cables for corrosion near the battery terminal end. Sometimes it builds up under the rubber insulation. I would check the ground wire that runs from the battery to the engine block.

I just noticed the 2 freeze out plugs came out over the winter on my 1989 ford bronco. the truck has been laid up for the winter but i am almost certain there was antifreeze in the radiator can ypou tell...


The vehicle is 21 years old. The mixture may have had more water than antifreeze in it or the system may not have been properly serviced over the years.
A little abnormal but not that uncommon.
Have the system checked out and have the cooling system pressure tested.

The coolant flush would have nothing to do with the no start as long as you didn't overheat the engine. There should be a little valve that looks like a tire valve on the refrigerant line. This is the nozzle to fill with R12

1989 BRONCO XLT WITH A 5.8 351 CLEAVLAND


The Bronco did come with the 5.8L. It's a 351 Windsor though. Ford quit making the Cleveland engine back in '74. You should have a vacuum diagram under the hood of your truck.
