SOURCE: GVX2 krups coffee grinder; how to open it?

I have the same issue. You need to take both dials off, then on the bottom, there are 4 tabs on the inside. Seperate the halves and you will see them. Towards the front and halfway back. Pry the halves apart enough to push the top towards the bottom and it slides apart pretty easy. The tricky part now is finding the replacement part. I have super glued my switch and I want to do something to try and repair it further. Maybe epoxy. I called Krups and they can't sell the part to me. I called one of their service centers and they can't sell the part to me. So, if someone knows where to get the part, I am all ears :)

SOURCE: A Krups KM7005 coffee maker/grinder doesn't heat or drip water .

Mine had the same problem ... all the lights are on, grinding works fine, but no heat on the plate, and no dripping of water.

After a weekend on the workbench, I mastered this machine. The KM7005 has 2 x MicroTemp G4 thermal cutoff (TCO) fuses which interrupt the Live line, for overheat protection. Mine didn't overheat per se, but the TCO blew anyway. Not reset-able ... need to be replaced with a soldering iron. To date, I have helped 13 people on this site fix this exact problem.

I'll be happy to advise you to fix this, or fix it for you. Write me at [email protected].

Most plastic products contain enough carbon black to neutralise this problem. Obviously not with yours.

Try a camera accessory cleaning cloth - specifically anti-static.

Cleaning less often will also help, and maybe a quick brush out would result in less mess.

Natural fibres like cotton cloths or bristle brushes will also help.

Coffee naturally has oils that, if left on, will eliminate this problem anyway.

Testimonial: "Thank-you - unfortunately, reviews I've found about this coffee grinder indicate that it's a common problem, but your suggestions has helped some."

Krups 203 Blade Replacement Procedure

This portable, plug-in grinder has a removable lid and bean grinder chamber. The blade on the Krups bean grinder is fastened to the bottom of the grinder chamber. You may need to replace the blade on your Krups 203. The Krups 203 comes with a limited 1-year warranty, but the company recommends you send your grinder to the company to make repairs. What do I do when coffee beans not getting to grinder

They cannot "not get to" the grinder, the hopper is mounted directly above the grinding teeth. The grinder is probably blocked and you will need to remover the housings and take out the grinder for cleaning and inspection. Most common cause of grinder blockage is dampness inside the housings from a leak somewhere inside the machine.

EA6935 krups powdered coffee inside grinder and coffee grounds noncompact

You will need to pull the grinder apart & clean it out. Most likely cause of the grinder blocking up is a leak somewhere inside the machine dampening the grounds as they exit the grinder. They bind up, won't fall out and there is your blockage. You will need to find and fix the leak, there are many, many places for the leak to be, it's a job for a Krups Service Agent. I have outer housings with cutouts in them so I can run them and look inside at the same time to find those troublesome leaks.

Krups burr coffee grinder - When I push the power button it flashes on briefly and then stops. It has briefly ground some beans so it working to some extent. Any ideas what is causing the grinder to...

Empty the grinder and see if it will run with no coffee bean in it. Some times debris will get caught in the grinder because it got mixed with the beans from the factory. If it runs your good to go. If not then the mother connection are not solid and it will run off and on at will.

I know that this machine is sensitive with the lids needing to be securely fastened (both the top and the plastic catch bottom container) maybe that is it.
