All i can see is tons of lines, and the colors, but can't read anything

Get the model and make of air conditioner and call them they will tell you or go on line and Google it to see if they give you the ton

Read size of air conditioner you need , each ton of air conditioning will keep cool 400 square.so higher ton yo pick you feel cool.please read below square feet to ton chart.
1 ton on 400 sq. ft.
2 ton on 800 sq. ft.
3 ton on 2000 sq. ft.
5 ton on 2570 sq. ft.

kindly check if on the BIOS you can still see those lines...if it is still there obviously it is a screen issue

You solved it - the graphics card failed.

To check the transmission level remove the dipstick and check to see how much fluid is on the dipstick, it will have a line to indicate full or anything below this line will need to add fluid. The vehicle should be warm with the temperture gauge above 180, and the vehicle should be running to get the proper reading. The fluid should be a bright red color anything darker may need changing, depending on the interval indicated in the owners manual.

If is 2ton it'll work fine only it will take a little longer to take out the humidity ,but dont put bigger than that Two ton is 24000 BTU you see in the model number a 24 between all the numbers and letters.

Sounds like the CCFL is failing.. (Backlight)... Pink hue is common when these start to go out..

are the lines multiple colors? ie; reg, green, blue? If so you need convergence repair, not really something a lay person can do.
