Question about Dell Inspiron E1505 Notebook
The problem is the power socket on the laptop, the socket is either faulty or has a dry solder joint that needs to be resoldered. To confirm this problem, when you wriggle the power plug that plugs into the laptop the charge LED will flash and holding it firm in a certain position the charge LED will stay firmly on.
Repairing this power socket requires the laptop to be completely dismantled to get at this power socket.
