We've had the power go out before and it still worked. Everything else still works except the wii. I tried a different outlet and still nothing. The remotes lights flash. I don't know if anyone has a wii nearby but will ask my son. Do you have any other suggestions? Please help me, I sure hope my wii's not broken!

Have you tried a different outlet?(yes even a different spot in a surge protector)
Do you have a friend to borrow their power cord to see if the cord got zapped?

Some devices can have serious problems when a power outage occurs, i would reccomend contacting nintendo support about the problem.

Wii stopped working . We played it before bed one night and the next morning there was no light on the system and it would not turn on. We have unplugged everything and plugged it all back in...still...

This probably didn't happen, but my guess is that, when the sudden power was restored, the Wii console took too much and fried the circuts. This can happen on on computers, but I'm not sure about gaming consoles. This can be prevented with a surge protector, a device with several power outlets and a switch for power protection. If the warranty on your Wii is still present (I think it lasts 1-4 years) you can send it in to Nintendo for repairs (or if they can't repair it, they'll send you a brand new one).

After a power outage, my wii will not turn on

You can try a new AC adapter. If that does not work,it will need to be repaired by a Nintendo authorized center.(I used to work at one).If you do by a new one PLEASE buy Nintendo brand. The "off" brands usually end up in some kind of problem down the road.
Good luck and agme on!

We had a power outage last night, and even though the adapter was plugged in through a surge protector, the console will no longer turn on, acts as if it is not getting any power. I have tried multiple...

Try using a friend's power adapter just in case yours got fried. If you don't know anyone that has a wii you can buy new adapters at stores like Gamestop for I think $20. If it doesn't work they have a policy now where you can return them even if they're opened within 7 days. If a new adapter doesn't work then your wii may be fried. Try calling Nintendo and see if they can do a repair for a cost, or if you are still under warranty and if they'll cover you.

My wii will not turn on

try syncing the wii and the remotes. there is a small red button on the wii covered by a small door. and as for the wii remote, there is a small red button where the batteries are located. hold them down for at least 10 seconds i would say and then try turning it on. good luck.

Power Outage & Now Wii Won't Power Up...

When this same thing happened to me, I unplugged the Wii power supply from the wall (not just from the back of the Wii) and let it sit unplugged for about 10 minutes. When I plugged it back in, everything was fine.

Power outage last night. Deleted all saved voicemail messages. when turned on - machine says "no massages" How do I retrieve lost messages?

I'm sorry there isn't. Answering machines like this have very little ROM memory. After a powersurge and outage like last night, it wiped the whole memory chip. You can try there support page. It's actually pretty good. http://telephones.att.com/telephones_ui/support/index.cfm
