Empisal Super Star sewing machine uses a set of stitch pattern cams to create different stitches. If you need stitch pattern cams for your Empisal Super Star sewing machine, you can try the following options:
Check with the manufacturer: Contact the manufacturer of the Empisal Super Star sewing machine to see if they still produce or have stock of the stitch pattern cams.
Check online marketplaces: Look for online marketplaces that sell vintage sewing machine parts, including stitch pattern cams for Empisal Super Star sewing machines. You may be able to find them on websites like eBay or Etsy.
Check with a sewing machine repair shop: Contact a local sewing machine repair shop or service center to see if they have any stitch pattern cams that would be compatible with your Empisal Super Star sewing machine.
Consider alternatives: If you are unable to find the original stitch pattern cams for your Empisal Super Star sewing machine, consider using alternative stitch patterns that do not require cams. You can also consider purchasing a newer sewing machine that has a wider range of built-in stitch patterns.
It's important to note that not all stitch pattern cams are compatible with all sewing machines, so make sure you check that the cams you purchase are specifically designed for the Empisal Super Star sewing machine model.
If it was purchased second-hand, very likely something is wrong with the machine or the owner didn't know how to use it. It is always best to test and have the owner show you how to use the machine before purchasing. From the information found online, this is a very economical level sewing machine--even new.
JMHO, but purchasing an old mechanical machine from a sewing machine shop for $60 would probably yield a more reliable machine. For most sewing, a straight stitch and zig-zag are the most frequently used stitches. So, if you are unable to purchase an upper-scale machine with multiple built-in design stitches for several hundred dollars, stick with a simple mechanical.
try putting some fabric under the foot, lowering the pressure foot and making a couple of stitches, they should come back up as the machine goes through its stitch formation.
Ebay will let you get your money back. Go to the customer support part on ebay, resolution center and open a complaint. They will take care of you. I had that happen to me and ebay even paid the return shipping and I got my credit for the full amount. Do not keep something that does not work.
almost any machine can be used to sew tee shirts. all you really need is a stretch stitch and overlock stitch which event the most basic machine has these days. try using an old shirt that you no longer wear and try different stitches, stitch lengths until you are satisfied with the results,
It must be a design flaw- things don't always last like they are supposed to. I would personally check the physical reason it is not responding... knowing what it would take to make it stop moving- or whatis causing it to. *perhaps the switch isn't working to stop it- or the mechanism that controls it is worn down. If it was new- I'd return it- but there are only a few options at this point.
