Open your computer case after you unplug the power. Look for the CMOS battery. It is a small cylinder - looks like a watch battery. Right next to the battery is a set of three pins. Move the jumper to the opposite side for about 10 seconds and then put it back in original postion. Power up and restart your computer.

My 1990 Toyota pickup 4x4 3.0 5spd failed its smog test in Ca. The shop said that the timing was set at 5 degrees after. How do I set the timing to the correct setting?

there is a small black check connector next to the big black fuse block that has coded pins that you can jump to check different systems.but to check the timing you will need a jumper wire and jump pins te1 and e1 together. the location for the pins that you need to jump are located on the inside of the lid of the small check connector.start the truck and let it warm up and set the idle to around 800rpm and hook your timing light up to the battery and the #1 plug wire and put your jumper wire in. the engine speed should slow down a little and you should also be able to see the timing mark move with the timing light when you connect and disconnect the jumper wire.once you have everything hooked up loosen the dist. bolt and set the time to 10 degrees btdc at idle.tighten the dist. and unhook everything and and see how it runs.if not running to good the timing belt could be stretched or it could have jumped a tooth.the throttle position sensor can also make the timing to crazy things.....i hope this will help you let me and fixya know and a thumbs up if i did my job........if you have anymore questions let me know i have been working on toyota and lexus for 25 yrs......good luck.......

Failed to unlock HDD System Locked

What you need to do is unplug pc, open up the door panel to your pc and remomo cell battery from mother board then find the jump pins on the mother board they look just like the one in back of the hard drive. The jump pins are connected with a jumper similar to the pins jumper that sets up your hard drive to master, cable select, or slave. You need to reset the mother board the way you do that is by removing that pin jumper and replacing the cell baterry then the pin jumper. If done correctly you will reset your motherboard password setting and bios allowing you to boot your operating system. If you need help google your pc manufacture and model number and search mother board jump pins. Or email me with your pc info to , and I will try to help you find it. Accidently un-setaed three jump switches --Power EW,Power LED, HD

If your talking about the pins on the mother board for the on power switch, HDD LED, reset, power led, and system speaker you would need to note the make and model of *********** board. If you look very closely you should see little letters for example , PWS, HDD,RST,PCS,PLED, These mach up to the pins on the motherboard. also most commonly the PC speaker has an open pin so it will be 3 pins long and not just 2. To find the make and model of a motherboard you can find a name and a group of numbers something like " Intel A33Y97 " and then google for more information if needed.

I just aquired this Dell tower but it is missing the power/reset switches what is the wireing diagram to the board

The switches are missing? or are the wires not connected. If you want to jump the system up, open the skin, lay it on the side. Look for the block of pins for rst spkr pwr and some others. Take a small flat blade screwdriver and with the plug in and supply power on touch the two pins for pwr. and fans should come on immediately.

Master reset for pc

Unplug your machine from wall outlet. Open the case and remove the flat battery from the motherboard. Wait 5-15 minutes and replace it, your machine is now at default settings.
If this helps plz take the time to write a couple of word testimonial. Thanks.
